General Comments:

Bailiff Ryan couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend taking his advice on the lake and features.

Details of your catches:

Caught a total of 19 carp during very hot and unfavourable weather conditions for fishing. Great for sunbathing and relaxing though! A good number of 30lb+ fish up to 37lb, with all fish in great condition and a real mix of types from Commons, Linears, Leathers, Ghosties and even a part Koi.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fished snowman rigs and popped up maize mostly - There are Crayfish here so go prepared and talk to the bailiff...
We also caught 3x 30lb+ Carp float fishing the margins, which was great fun!

I would thoroughly recommend this venue to families and groups looking to catch some Carp. You will have to work at times to catch them....

Yes - I have never used Angling Lines before (previously have self organised 20+ trips to France) and it was a great experience. It made the process easy and everything was well informed and sorted for you.

General Comments:

The bailiff at Mystique (Ryan) was a great bloke and worked tirelessly to help us and nothing was too much trouble. Even when we had some tackle issues, he helped us resolve them. The best Bailiff I have met in over 30 trips!

We caught 27 fish to 38lb 14oz, highlights being new pbs 38.14 and 37.10, 34lb linear, and 29.10 common

We used hinged d rigs with solid booms, 12 fish all came from one spot, including the 1 biggest

The best tactic was listening to Mick. Owner really helpful and his advice enabled us to catch more. Weather was a bit all over the place so not fished as hard as could have been

Facilities are excellent and have everything you could possibly want. Bedrooms very comfortable, kitchen fully kitted out and living room very comfy.

General Comments:

The lake is beautiful and the fish are excellent. Everything works. The lake is so close to the accommodation and all on the flat which made it very easy for my 91 year old father to fish for the good and plentiful roach.
