An Update, 30th Oct
Mehdi is aware of the poisson chat having been particularly prolific this season - a long hot season has meant perfect conditions for them to thrive. He intends to regulate them by trapping, having invested in a further 5 poisson chat traps which are designed to trap up to 10kg per trap per day. He will also be adding some predators to help naturally balance the numbers.
The facilities have already seen upgrades this season. See below for photos taken this week.
*Update as of 5th November 2018* The traps are now installed and 5kg of poisson chat have been removed. They are proving very effective and will no doubt help when the poisson chat are more prolific in the summer months.

Improvements to Facilities, 30th Jul
This week we have repaired and repainted the picnic table, added a toilet roll holder (as suggested in the feedback) and bought a new fridge for Old Oaks.

A Reminder Regarding Poisson Chat, 21st Jun
As with previous years, there are poisson chat in the lake this summer, so we want to remind you to consider this when deciding on your tactics. Many anglers have few issues if using pop-up method, plastic or wrapped baits. When I can, I net the balls but I don't use traps during the fishing season to avoid disturbing anglers.
