Lake and Facilities very good but hard going 2 swims blanked!

Details of your catches:

the catches were good with all fish in good condition and they all gave a good account of themselves testing the groups ability. Each memeber bettered their personal best with Dave Dodds having a dream session breaking the lake record for a mirror carp @ 57lb and all but a few being better than his personal previous best of 23lb

single baits over a bed of particle with a few freebie boilies fished tight to the far bank

the facilities were good, it was indicated on the information that a micro wave was available but this had been removed.

General Comments:

the trip was a success with everyone enjoying themselves, Mehdi the owner was helpful and very friendly, he shows a passion for his fisheries and was always available for help. Once I have collated all the photo's I will send them onto you for display. Many thanks and we will be booking this venue again next year.

General Comments:

A great week with Pb smashed by 6 out of 4 anglers. Old Oaks has produced high quality fish all week. Facilities are adequate for the venue. Mehdi is a very heplfull host.

General Comments:

the weather was great but the water tempreture was just above freezing which made the fishing very difficult, we tried everything we knew and just managed to catch 7 fish I did think about advertising a set of secondhand fishing tackle for sale it was that bad.
The lesson learnt is not to go too early. It was warming up when we left I would imagine the next group should do well.
