Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were very good, clean and the shower was fantastic, but it was half a mile walk to the shower and to get water. There is a toilet by the hut and car park which is fine but there is no water there or in the hut where the freezers and charging points were

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

The location was nice and quiet but the lake is a bit featureless for our taste, it is basically far margin fishing and as many have said in previous feedback the lake is very peggy, willows produces 90% of the catches, so on that basis I probably wouldn't recommend

Bruno was there every day to collect rubbish and a quick chat

11 x 30’s & 2 x 40’s

Close in on the far margins especially during the day, pop ups seemed to work best.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities are great, especially with the added toilet closer to the swims. Plenty of room in the hut for charging and storing of food and bait.

Love this lake, it’s beautiful and Bruno is a really nice guy always happy to help and advise.

The facilities were very good. However, next time I go I will take a push bike as shower block is quite far away.

General Comments:

It was a hard weeks fishing for us in the singles pegs with most fish being caught from willow. Had our first fish on the Thursday morning... but to be fair it was worth the wait being a mint 44lb mirror carp. All fish we caught were in top condition.

Details of your catches:

Four of us with 15 fish in total. Three pb's caught - 40lb, 47lb and a 54lb.

Always fishing close to far margins.

Absolutely, the new toilet is a godsend!

Always very clean.

Yes and have been taking them with me since it opened!

General Comments:

Bruno is a fantastic host, have been fishing his lakes since 2017. He will always go that extra bit to help you put fish on the bank, nothing is too much trouble. The facilities and fish are top notch, will be returning again soon!
