Pink fake corn worked well, but as the wind was pushing the fish to the top end of the lake it was very hard, apart from my 2 friends in the willow swim where 12 fish were caught between 2 people

The shower block was good but was a long way to walk to

Yes, clean and a nice warm shower

Yes I would but the warmer months would probably be a bit easier for catching.

Pro stim liver from CCMoore. Fished down the shelf due to the very cold northerly wind blowing and rain.

Shower is amazing but a very long walk and bikes have been removed. Full flushing WC in the car park always clean and tidy.

Finished the week on 13 fish. 2 x Under 20 2 x 20s to 26 lbs 3 x 30s to 39.4 lbs 5 x 40s to 48.14 lbs 1 x 55 lbs PB common!

General Comments:

This lake is one on the best looking and matured lake I have fished in France both Bruno and Diane are very welcoming. On arrival we had a good walk round and looked at all three double swims and each swim has a vast amount of water to fish. Waited for the other guys to arrive and a draw was done ,I pulled number 1 so dropped into Willow. This was my first time here and I’ll call it a success. We will be back for a second visit and I’m sure we’ll not be disappointed.

A total of 4 carp, ranging from 25lb to the biggest at 42lb (& one crayfish & one pike!)

Good question as the owner wasn't there for the same week his lake was fully booked! Most of the carp caught came out of the swim by the owners house… everyone else struggled (including me) for the week… and having read other reviews, this isn’t something new. Maybe it would have helped if the owner was there?!

Were the facilities what you expected?

Not really. The toilet and shower block is a long - and I mean long - walk from all of the swims. The ‘new’ toilet installed by the main entrance also takes 20mins to refill…not good at all.

The toilet and shower block, when you get there, was clean and everything was good. The ‘new’ toilet - see previous comments - but it was also clean and tidy.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

In short - no. The bait ordered - mainly the parti mix - was just full of buckwheat, some other particles - no hemp - and went off after 3 days (mould appearing) and the tiger nuts were the size of maple peas, not good to drill out etc… can’t bring your own so can’t use those supplied! All in all, I wouldn’t have wasted much money on this venue and would not recommend this to anyone spending their hard earned money on a week here (see previous comments) unless they get into the only swim that produces bites on a regular basis. Maybe it would have helped if the owner of said lake was present, which with his lake being fully booked, you would have thought that would have happened. *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that Bruno was not at the lake this week. Diane was taking care of everything during his absence and Bruno was available by phone for any questions or concerns.

Yes - your overall level of service is excellent; damn shame this lake owner let us and therefore you down.
