Hook Baits with some form of yellow added. Fish a spot and keep baiting that spot. Wait for them to come on to the bait.

General Comments:

Just back from an absolutely fantastic week fishing at Sky Lake in France, and what a trip it was! Between the 7 of us, we landed an incredible 45 fish, with the biggest going to a stunning 77lb. The quality of the fish was outstanding, and the lake itself is absolutely beautiful and incredibly picturesque.

The hosting was excellent from start to finish. Breakfast in the mornings and the evening meals were all fantastic and really added to the experience.

The advice and support throughout the week were first class, with a special mention for Rob, the bailiff, who was always on hand with advice whenever we needed it, no matter what time of day. His knowledge and willingness to help really made a difference.

The facilities were good, the fish were in fantastic condition, and the whole week was thoroughly enjoyable. It’s clear that a lot of effort goes into making sure guests have a great experience.

A massive thank you to everyone at Sky Lake for a brilliant week. We’ll definitely be thinking about coming back - hopefully sooner rather than later!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Heavy baiting was the way forward with the lake boilie,pellet & particle the boilie provided by Andy is very good quality and super fresh as well as the fresh particles.
Heavy baiting most evenings with a full bucket of bait spread over three spots via the rowing boat was the way forward, for me and dropping the rigs via a bait boat or cast as the free offerings were generously spread meaning hook baits could be placed on front and back edges of the baited areas easy enough!
Hook baits 18mm bait from the bag and a 15mm trimmed pop up fished snowman style was nice and selective and definitely seemed to pick out some better stamp fish.

Very, the shower area is a nice size and very clean and them cool showers came in handy after the hot days we had

General Comments:

Overall sky lakes is a fantastic French fishery, with bags of help in hand from Andy and Rob.
Nothing was ever to much to ask of Andy and Rob, I had an issue getting caught up in a tree that was sticking out from the bank and kiting fish where able to get you stuck somehow! I asked Andy if it could be removed and 15 mins later Rob was at hand to remove the tree and any potential snag, that to me is service and a credit to the team at Sky for running a very good lake we will be back in the future that’s for sure.

General Comments:

Just back from another AMAZING trip to Sky Lake! I’ve been going to Sky now for well over 20 years, and there’s a reason I keep coming back! It’s just a magical place that you can only appreciate if you’ve spent a week there. I didn’t think it could get any better for me, but now I’m lucky enough to be able to share the memories with my son H. The first time he came with me, he was hooked ! And that will only become more obsessive after the week we’ve just had.

19 fish between both of us, and H beating his PB 3 TIMES! The best week I’ve ever had. As always Andy, Bern & Rob cannot do enough for you, from giving you everything you need to fantastic dinners, to giving you invaluable advice and guidance to help you catch Sky’s tricky residents! Thank you so much, we really have made memories that will last forever! See you next October! 🤩👌🏻
