Sky Lake Rules

Arrival time - not before 11am
Departure time - no later than 10am

The fishery requires a £50 deposit at the start of your stay, to be returned at the end providing any equipment borrowed is left in good condition and swims are left clean and litter free.

  • No leaders/ lead core of any kind. Minimum of 15lb main line to be used.
  • Maximum of 3 rods, not to be left unattended at any time.
  • Landing nets must be a minimum of 42 inches, unhooking mats must be a minimum of 3x4ft and of high quality.
  • All fish to be medicated i.e Klinik. No sacking of fish at any time.
  • You can bring a maximum of 10kg of your own boilies (frozen only) and pellet from a reputable company, No shelf life boilies. No oil based glugs. No nuts of any kind, including tiger nuts, peanuts etc. Only particles purchased on site to be used (ensures correct preparation & quality). Maggots are allowed.
  • Barbless hooks only
  • No fixed, running, 360, spinner or helicopter rigs or hybrid of the latter to be used. We deem that these cause unnecessary mouth damage. Rig checks can be carried out and any breach of rules will result in the angler being asked to leave.
  • Excess drinking or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. No loud music.
  • No open fires, BBQs are permitted providing the surrounding area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • No portable toilets.
  • No swimming or wading.
  • Rowing boats are available to hire for an additional cost (40gbp for the week) and may be used for baiting, feature finding and placing hook baits. Buoyancy aids are provided with these and must be worn at all times.
  • Bait boats are also allowed, however must be used with purpose, i.e going to a marker, as otherwise a disturbance to other anglers.
  • Your own inflatable boats are not allowed.
  • All fish estimated to be in excess of 40lb to be left in landing net and bailiff contacted to ensure fish safety and assist with photography. The bailiff will verify weight, which allows the fishery to monitor the progress of fish.
  • Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a lead at all times & be cleaned up after. However, if they become a noise issue with constant barking you will be asked to leave the fishery.
  • You can drive to your swim to unload (except 13 & 14, which you cannot drive to), but vehicles must then be parked in the parking area. Exceptions will be made for small campervans (eg VW Transporter size) which can be kept behind swims 1, 2, 9, 15 and 16.
  • We do not allow any kind of weapons on the lake.
  • Although we allow the use of a bait boat we do not take responsibility of charging them up, please bring your solar panels etc if needed. We also cannot charge e-scooters or electric bikes.
  • Any angler under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times when fishing. 
  • Children under the age of 12 are allowed free of charge as non-anglers, but must be included on the booking.
  • The shower room on site is located within the venue staff area, and therefore has opening times from 10am-5pm daily (BUT on Saturday mornings it will be closed for cleaning). 
  • Toiletries of any kind are not provided (including toilet paper), please bring your own
  • All rules must be observed at all times. Failure to do so will result in the angler being asked to leave the fishery immediately. No refund of any monies will be given.
  • Any outstanding sundry bills to be paid in GBP, euros or by bank transfer on the Friday evening before departure.
  • If you or a member of your party experiences any issues during your holiday, please report them immediately to the venue owner/bailiff and to Angling Lines. This allows us the opportunity to resolve the matter while you are still at the lake, in line with our holiday Terms & Conditions.
