Basic snowman rigs did most of the fish, ccmoores pacific tuna was the best bait

General Comments:

I personally caught 45 fish, it’s been the best weeks carp fishing for me in 30 years, we’ve already booked again for next year, 2 weeks this time!

Find a spot and keep the bait going in regular if bites slow top your spots up with bait. We fished bollies and the lake pellet fishing snowman set up over the top.

General Comments:

Very good lake, can be very challenging due to snags but would definitely recommend and return ourselves

The Jollycarpers group had a really good week all 9 anglers caught Steve and Brandon had over 30 fish Ryan had over 30 fish Jay had about 10 fish Lisa and tom had about 18 fish Tom had about 8 Stuart had 20 Graham had 3 fish Well over 100 fish caught in the week with many more losses to snags

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We found most baits and rigs worked fishy, fruity nutty size 2 and 4 hooks used fishing over big beds of particle and boilies brought more fish in but bigger fish were caught fishing away from baited spots. The facilities were better than expected, shower is ample to get clean but could do with bigger freezer facilities

General Comments:

This is by far the most challenging water we have fished, the pegs are hard work to negotiate with such large fish most have drop offs down to the lake which makes using bait boats hard work. Would recommend fishing with a fellow angler as you will need help especially with the sturgeon and cats. Take plenty of end tackle with you as you can loose a lots of fish in the snags. You have quite a few shops just in the village you can walk to the tabac shop and pub but others I would say driving distance.

Nice fishing nice lake there was only 4 of us because of covid think it would be a lot harder if it was full up with 15 people it would get quite busy in the freezer and charging points
