Details of your catches:

The fishing was tough due to 30 to 35 degree temps and the fish finishing up spawning 2 days after we arrived but the group got stuck in and caught some fish. 1 40lb fish, 1 30lb fish and there was around 15/20 carp between 10lb and 25lb. 3 50lb + cats but again loads of them were between 20lb and 5lb and a few lost fish. The lake is a minefield which makes all the swims unique, 5ft round boulders to sunken trees, silt, clay. You really have to be prepared for anything/everything.

General Comments:

Franks a great bloke and will help as much as he can. The lake would benefit being gated as we had a french chap park up in a swim between 2 of us and start chucking boulders in the water which I’m sure doesn’t happen all the time but.... *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear that a stranger turned up to the lake, bailiff Franck does stay onsite and this definitely isn't a common occurrence.

Details of your catches:

Our 2nd week on vaumigny in pegs 2 and 3, a quieter week for Mark in peg 2, he had 10 carp to 49lb, in peg 3 I had a better week than the previous week, 17 carp including fish of 50lb and 54lb, again another fantastic weeks fishing, Vaumigny never fails to deliver !

We have been to Vaumigny many times, always caught lots of fish, Frank is great, leaves you to get in with it

Great weeks fishing, Mark fishing in peg 2 had 21 carp and 3 sturgeon, his biggest carp was 52lb. I fished peg 3 and had 14 carp and 10 sturgeon, biggest carp was 47lb. I also managed to land 2 of the really big sturgeon, what a fight !! We are on for 2 weeks so let’s see what next week brings.

Most fish came from the middle, snow man rigs seem to do the best

It’s a great venue, very big fish

Tough week sunny days and cold nights managed 24 fish between the two of us 17 carp from twenty pounds up to 52 pound 4 of which where forty’s 2 catfish 2 sturgeon up to a estimated 90 100 lb and one pike probably mid double sturgeon where very active probably smashed up at least ten times just couldn’t stop them

Bait boat out to the centre of the lake using pacific tuna boilies particles and pellet
