Strong arms and large hook baits. Caught from mid range to a few rod lengths out. Strong tackle a must!!

Yes the showers and access to power supplies were brilliant. Frank the owner very helpful and a top man.

Were you happy with them?

Yes had all the basics you required. Kept very clean and bait available if required.

100%, beautiful lake kept in great order. Plenty of species choice for you to fish for. Great package overall!!

General Comments:

Great fishery, with some very large fish. Great location, great service. Owner Frank brilliant.

Around 25 fish caught by 3 Anglers, Sturgeon 165lb biggest in lake Carp 51.7lb Catfish 37lb Several carp 40’s + with a few 30’s, & couple 15-29lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Simple hair rigs not over complicated, with either a wafter or pop up bait.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities are fairly basic, shower is powerful and hot but water has a metallic smell and not drinkable, toilet and shower room kept relatively clean. The fridge and freezer are accessible and beneficial to keep foods chilled across the weeks use. There are multiple charging ports for electrical bank devices.

Were you happy with them?

Yes generally happy and not too bothered by imperfections, but it wouldn’t harm for the bathroom to have a bit better of a clean to remove spider cobwebs in some of areas.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Absolutely yes to most but some of the tackle tarts who want pristine fishing venue swims and facilities this venue won’t suit them.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

I have been very happy with Angling Lines services every single time I have booked and will happily be booking again for next year somewhere or back to Vaumigny again.

General Comments:

I have been to this venue 3 times now, Oct 2022, March 2023 & Oct 2023. This is a drive and survive venue with a very natural lake and swims. There is overgrown trees & not perfectly manicured swims but this all adds to the natural beauty of this lovely venue, I personally love it. There are many snags around various areas of the lake which makes it frustrating at times to get snagged up and lose tackle if you don’t have a boat to go out in the water and retrieve your line. I would recommend renting boat or bringing your own. I have had great weather and fishing conditions of 2:3 trips and the last have been the very best so far. I cannot wait to come back again. Frank the owner is lovely and look forward to seeing him again next time

49 fish landed between 4, I myself had 32. Best weeks fishing I have ever had, we had sturgeon to an estimated 150lb, cats to 110b, 9 forty plus carp

Fished to centre of lake with hemp maize and pellet and pacific tuna boilies, fishing snowman rigs over the top

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Little bait, small boilies. Avoid heavy baiting, it didn't work for the people who used it. Fishmeal for cats and sturgeon. Use at least 18lb mainline, it's snaggy!!!
