Details of your catches:
8 catfish to 37lb 6 carp to 44 lb Unfortunately I lost quite a few big fish
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Pop up baits
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes as I had heard previously. The shower could be vastly improved by putting a simple holder for the shower head, rather than holding it.
Were you happy with them?
Yes they were fine
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes I would

Definitely
General Comments:
The lake is great. Some work could be done on our peg (1) it is a little precarious especially at night.

Details of your catches:
12 Anglers - 92 carp caught. 5 cats 4 sturgeon, best carp 62lb, 2x50s, 10x40s (everyone caught).
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Carp caught on various methods - best tactics were to bait heavy and fish on top of baited area, fish would always find the bait. We all used quality boilies of various flavours - most of us did not use fishmeal boilies or pellets to avoid catfish.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Facilities were ok (typically French) - could have done with more freezer space as we all had plenty of frozen boilies - baits were air dried as we suspected this might be an issue - so in the end it was ok. Toilet and shower were ok, no drinkable water on site.
Were you happy with them?
We all knew the extent of the facilities (we have fished this type of water before) so we were all prepared - not a problem. Some of us had bottles (glass) - this had to be taken away when we left as there was no rubbish facility for glass - not an issue for us but if mentioned beforehand we could have substituted our glass for cans.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes - the lake and surroundings were great, the carp stock is good - none of us are interested in the Cats and Sturgeon - to most serious carpers these fish are a nuisances. This time of year Cats and Sturgeon are less active so we didnt have much of a problem with them. The venue is very "French" minimal facilities and unmanicured swims. I wouldnt book the lake again for 12 people - I would take 8 max - as this would allow everyone to have a swim which is accessible by van/car. Some of us will be booking again as singles (non-exclusive anglers).
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes - definitely
General Comments:
Frank - the owner - very friendly and good natured, always welcoming and helpful when we saw him. The lake/Fishery IMO would be more popular if some of the swims were made more fisherman friendly - some swims were difficult to land fish in as the bankside slope was steep and a little dangerous. Access to 40% of the swims is difficult as pegs 8-13 cannot be accessed by van - barrowing round gear was hard work and those swims became uninviting.

Details of your catches:
Carp ranging from 27lb 13oz to 51lb 14 oz for me with an average weight of 42lb 06oz. Across the group we had multiple sturgeon to 140lb, catfish to 40lb, king carp to 54lb & grass carp to 39lb.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
DNA Baits - as always, the BUG doing the business.

General Comments:
Another cracking week at Vaumigny, Frank the owner being great as usual. The weather was very varied; mid teens in the day & low single digits overnight - winds from all directions. Thanks to Ben Coventry, Gareth Blunden, James Darvill for the banter & laughs
