Very poor. 19 carp between 4 anglers. Mostly small carp of 14lb or under and a couple of just under and just above 30lb

General Comments:

Swims needed clearing of overhanging branches. Looks like anglers had taken matters into their own hands to clear. Water quality was very poor and suggest was some of the the issue for low catch results. I would guess but cannot confirm that the larger carp have been lost and losses not disclosed, overall despite good fishing conditions there should have been a far better catch rate of larger carp for the apparent stocking. I appreciate it’s called fishing and not catching but a partial refund should be considered.

General Comments:

John and Debbie always look after us, charging batteries and ice blocks etc, the food is always good. Nothing is to much trouble. We have been going back over the last 9 years.
The trip was hard with the changing weather but loads of fish crashing out all through the night.

Great weeks fishing again in France at Lac du Villefond, have some good memories every time here and been looked after, fished Saturday to Friday deciding to leave a day early as bad weather was coming in... fishing 21oc and north east winds managed this fish count and a double take 39lb common 39lb mirror

Yes a nice lake, with plenty of large carp to go for but a few too many doubles. A great food package and Debbie can cater for GF Veggie etc just ask nicely

General Comments:

The lake is very nice with plenty of space for four or five anglers a little bit of swim maintenance is required which will be undertaken in the close season. Although there has been an algae bloom, the fish were still feeding well. As carp anglers with over twenty five years experience fishing in France multiple trips a year this is quite normal for the time of year after lots of bait going in during the season and after hot dry summers, also with many farms surrounding the lakes. This could be off putting to some less experienced anglers. We found John and Debbie to be very friendly and informative and we would most definitely return. The food package is excellent delivered to your peg if required.
