3 anglers fishing probably a total of 5 hours a day (no nights) caught over 100+ carp from 13 to 30 pound. Average catch was around the 20lb mark, good hard fighting fish. Smallest 13lb and the biggest 30lb 7oz

Every tactic and bait worked. It really is a runs water. 8 mins after the first rod was in, it screamed off

Yes, very clean and the shower was great

Were you happy with them?

Very, although the flies in the main cabin a nuisance, but it is a working farm, and was acceptable, wouldn't put me off booking again

Details of your catches:

70 carp up to mid 20 and missed quite a few due to double takes. The fishing is extremely prolific; Tuesday and Wednesday I went out all day sightseeing and on the other days I only fished for up to six hours and never at night.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Boilie fished over boilies and pellet.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Used the lakeside lodge, shower block and although it was late September Alice agreed that I could use the swimming pool as the weather was good. I've fished Vincons before so facilities as expected

Were you happy with them?

Very happy, the lakeside lodge is very well equipped and there is everything needed for a comfortable stay. The swimming pool is a real bonus.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes if wanting a runs water; the fish aren't large by French standards but in great condition and put up quite a fight when hooked. A great mix of commons and scaly mirrors.

Yes have used Angling Lines for many years and always a great service

General Comments:

Vincons is a great venue for getting lots of carp action and the pool and lodge really add to the holiday experience. Alice and family are great hosts and always on hand to help if needed but otherwise leave you to enjoy your holiday.

Details of your catches:

200+ carp, between two anglers fishing days only.
Biggest was 27.9lb, average was 18lb. Nice immaculate commons around 23-26lb. One angler fished 08.00-11.00 and 16:00-20:00 every day. Hectic action and great to get a bend in the rods

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Pink wafters, any brand. Keep the boilies going in with throwing stick or catapult. 6-8 wraps out on hard patches. Fish the willow and bush in front of the cabin.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Good facilities, nice warm shower. Kitchen in lodge is good and plenty of utensils and pans etc.

Yes.

Yes. Good for a runs water. Very good stock of fish and water level was good during a drought. Owners work hard to keep it full year round

Yes. Angling Lines rarely lets you down.

Alice was an amazing host and nothing is too much. Leaves you to it, but makes sure you know she’s on hand if needed.

Caught over 200 carp throughout the week, around 15-30lb.

Method feeder over boilies and pellets. We fished mostly near the lodge.
