Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

No fancy or trendy rigs, simple knotless knot rig with a single Blue lake boilie, heavy baiting of maize mix into an area and waited for the carp to move in.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, and some!! Beautiful secure venue, picturesque lake with spacious swims commanding plenty of open water.
Sebastian was very approachable and willing to offer help through an medical emergency one of our party experienced.
The only set back for the party was the number of mice on the banks (hours of darkness) that did cause some damage to discarded clothing and bivvies, although we come to except that there are fields surrounding the complex.
Wash/shower, toilet area served their purpose and there was ample freezer/fridge space available. British plugs available for charging purposes and another benefit was being able to park your vehicle behind the swim.

Already have and we aim to re-visit next year.

Certainly would and have already, I've being using Angling Lines periodically since 2003, during which time I have recommended their services to numerous mates, who have been equally impressed. The staff have always been very accommodating and helpful both before and during your trip. On this occasion we had to urgently return to the UK, cutting our break short due to an unwell party member, Angling lines staff were nothing short of brilliant in managing our travel plans. My sincere thanks to the team for their assistance in this matter.

General Comments:

I previously read that a visit to this complex would put a serious bend in your rod, that's certainly no understatement, beautiful hard fighting fish, luckily we had the best of the weather for October and thoroughly enjoyed a trip to Blue lake.

General Comments:

amazing place with friendly staff and some amazing fish to be caught, would recommend to anyone wanting a good week fishing

Details of your catches:

Well over 100 fish with most lads catching 15-20 carp (grass carp not included). There is a ridiculous amount of grass carp in here so when you read numbers of people catching 50+ fish each I recon more then half of them were grass carp. Biggest carp caught was 57lb and we had the Big Sturgeon at 100lb twice and the smaller Sturgeon at around 50lb and multiple 40's the average stamp of fish was around 30-33lb.

Really nice lake facilities were spot on and the owner left you alone unless you needed him.

We were catching that many Grass Carp a couple of the lads ended up putting 40mm hook baits out, only fishing in the day and dropped down to 2 rods, and still catching 5-8 some days.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Finding them with the sonar on a bait boat and literally dropping 5kg of particle on there heads. We tried big beds of bait but that seemed to just attract the Grass Carp. Tended to be yellow hook baits that works.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes the facilities were spot on, nothing special but we were not disappointed. Plenty of chest freezers and even a fridge freezer we managed to get well over 200kg of bait in the freezers.

Were you happy with them?

Yes couldn't complain, we have done lots of lakes and usually the showers are tank fed and run cold after a while. We never ran out of hot water, which is good. One thing to mention is there are plenty of English sockets in the hut for you to charge bait boats. One thing to bare in mind is we had poachers walking round the lake at night, which we had to chase off, so I wouldn't leave expensive bait boats etc unattended over night in the hut as there is no lock.

Yes 100% and we will definitley be going again.

Angling Lines were superb and especially with Covid lots of people on our trip had questions and they were happy to help.

Great trip only 1 lads blanked and everyone wants to book again.
