Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fished snowman rig over pellet maize and chopped boilies. Live system, pacific tuna and yellow northern specials being the main boilies used.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes the facilities were adequate for a drive and survive venue. I feel the addition of a table or shelf to take batteries and chargers near to the power points, instead of being put on the freezer lid which then have to be moved every time the freezer is opened. *Angling Lines note* Sebastien has now added a shelf as suggested, thank you for the feedback.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, couldnt fault the facilities.

General Comments:

Blue lake is a lovely lake with loads of features we had 15 feet of water at the rod tips which shallowed to 9 at 90 meters. The margins are tree lined and on most banks hold fish. We will seriously consider revisiting Blue lake in the future.

Details of your catches:

Very slow week as a lot of fish came out the previous week and due to cold nights and hot days early in the season. We all enjoyed the week and are going back next year. 23 carp landed with catching 14 of them and catching the two biggest at 46lbs common and 47lbs mirror, also two big sturgeon at 83lbs and 103lbs.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Scattered particle with pop-ups

Shower needs to be updated as if you're second for the shower it’s cold so an electric one would be better. The toilet cubicle is way too small no room to move but both very clean and well looked after.

General Comments:

Very nice venue, nice fish, only thing that is disappointing is there is no boat for snagged fish and you may need one in a couple of the swims, the sturgeon are a problem if you are fishing for carp so no need for them.

14 fish upto 47lb lost 2 lost 2 sturgeon

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Snags in the bay from peg 3, must use boat to retrieve some fish, scattered particle and pop up

The shower needs to be better as is takes time to get hot after someone has used it so you may have a cold shower, toilet is too small.

General Comments:

This lake has the potential to be very good, it has lots of fish, some small so caters better for anglers just waiting to catch rather than size of fish. Better if the sturgeon were taken out as they are a problem. All in all a great enjoyable place to go
