Yellow pop up at the start of the week moving on to bottom baits. This is not a easy lake even though we had a lot of fish. We were moving every other day and up most of the night. The trick to this water is monitoring fish movement late evening/night. Bait heavily during the heat of the day and fish evening/night

General Comments:

Great lake but there are some nasty snags by peg 2 (massive sharp rocks) lost several fish through the week until we rowed out to investigate the problem. Unsure why they are there, not fish friendly.

*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, Sebastien advises us that the snag in swim 2 has been removed with a digger.

Good facilities, clean nice fish. Mainly at night (weather very hot).

They were ok but found the toilet and shower were designed for very small people, no good for disabled or the larger built angler, also no lock on shower door

General Comments:

Needs a couple of ton of grass carp taking out impossible to get through to other target species they move in and clean you out in minutes. Peg 2 needs serious work as it is unsafe due to a dangerous rocky drop to the water, I wouldn't return to this lake.

*Angling Lines note* We're sorry to read that the grass carp caused you an issue and it sounds like you have had a very unlucky week. This is strangely not a complaint we have had before on Blue Lake as far as we can recall. Usually anglers catch a few grass carp but by far the majority caught are mirrors and commons, which the feedback reflects. We will of course pass this on to Sebastien the owner but it does sound like you have had an incredibly unlucky run. We will look to see what we can do to improve swim 2.
