General Comments:
The fishing pegs need trim for a better cast. The track to the swim is horrible.

Details of your catches:
24 carp with 4 x 50s, 3 x 40s, 9 x 30s and 8 x 20s
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
We started with pva bags and small beds of bait and built up baited areas as the week progressed
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes facilities were good with nice warm shower, plenty of freezer space and Phillipe was very welcoming along with his dog Shippy
Were you happy with them?
Yes and I have made a video highlighting the lake and facilities at boux which I hope will be useful to other anglers
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Boux is a fantastic venue with some amazing fish and we would have no hesitation recommending the lake
Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Details of your catches:
1 mirror 40lb
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Can’t comment, very slow fishing
Were the facilities what you expected?
Worse, nobody greeted us had to find the facilities ourselves, clear low level window in the shower is rather interesting apparently there was a lakeside toilet, not sure if what we found could be described as anything other than a shed with a hole in the floor
Were you happy with them?
Not really for the overall cost of the venue they are pretty poor and electrics sockets are dated and not safe
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Not as it is at present, doesn’t need a lot doing but looks like nobody has spent even €1 on the place in years
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes, but more help could be provided to help anglers when booking depending on where they are travelling from in the UK
General Comments:
Would not fish this venue again, 2 of us left after 2 days to go and fish elsewhere not a comfortable place to winter fish lakeside toilet is embarrassing, very thankful there was only 3 of us track around lake isn’t even wheelbarrow friendly, not suitable to the older generation.
*Angling Lines note* We're sorry the venue did not suit your requirements and appreciate it is not for everyone - we state on the site that the lakeside wc is a basic composting toilet and that the track to the wooded bank can be difficult to navigate - but there is always the option of fishing from the dam wall which is a much more even walk from the car park.
We do apologise that Philippe was not there to welcome you to the lake, he was not far away and would have come down to the venue within the afternoon, although it is correct that he does not speak good english. We have amended the info pack to make anglers aware that he may not be there until after your time of arrival and you are welcome to get settled and start fishing.
