Details of your catches:

A slow week compared to 2013 mainly due to heavy cold rain and strong northerly winds causing the water temperature to drop 5F in three days.

However although we only had 13 fish the average weight was just under 40lbs and included a 54lb mirror and a 53lb common together with commons of 46lbs and 43lbs and mirrors 44lbs and 42lbs.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing the 9 foot contour and being patient - chasing showing fish didn't yield a single bite although this has worked in the past. Bait was amber strawberry and rosehip boilies fished on blow back rigs.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes - two freezers, a fridge and microwave all in good working order and a nice hot shower.

General Comments:

Great venue with tranquil surroundings and hard fighting fish. Fairly long drive from Calais but well worth it. Phillippe is around if you need him but otherwise leaves you to enjoy your fishing.

There was 3 of us fished the lake all on the wooded bank we had a total of 41 fish between us including 2 50's, one being the new lake record at 54lb.

We had 13 40's, 15 30's, 10 20's and 1 double .. I had 13 of the fish which included 4 x 40's biggest 47lb 11oz mirror, 44lb 4oz common, 45lb 15oz common and a 40lb 1oz mirror, 4 x 30's and 5 x 20's, 2 of the 20's were really scaly

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I fished the top swim on the wooded bank ,I used simple coated rigs between 10" and 15" long using bollies over beds of hemp and pellet in depts between 3 foot to 5 foot of water

General Comments:

The hardest fighting fish ive every had. If your looking for a great venue that's not commercialized and your left alone to fish then this is deffo the venue for you, I can not rate this place high enough

3 anglers fished the wooded bank and had in total 41 fish including two 50s one being the new lake record at 54lb 10oz

We had 13 40's, 15 30's, 10 20s and 1 double.. I had 20 of the fish which included the lake record at 54lb 10oz, 6 40's the biggest being a 48lb 8oz common, 47lb 11oz mirror and a 47lb 6oz mirror, I also had a nice half/broken linear at 43lb 14oz. I also had 9 30's to 39lb 3oz, 3 20s and a double.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I used blow back rigs between 9-14 inches, and fished them at depths between 6ft and 10ft. Used boilies, hemp, particles and tigers as a feed and then switched between bait on the hair throughout the week. Bigger fish for me seemed to fall to tiger nuts with a grain of fake corn to balance the hookbait.

Facilities are more than good enough although a short drive from the lake itself.

General Comments:

This is the second time going to boux with angling lines and I really enjoyed my stay yet again. The carp are in such pristine condition and are the hardest fighting I have ever hooked into. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity from a venue where you are left alone in beautiful surroundings then look no further because this is it.....
