Details of your catches:
A difficult week in really tough conditions, a heatwave with temperatures of mid 40’s all week.
Night time was bite time, 16 fish between the group with all anglers catching
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Undoubtedly listening to the lake owner Thomas, majority of the fish caught from the far margin, fish meal boilies proving most effective
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes and better than expected, clean and tidy, great large social area, drive and survive facilities were great with a large supermarket within 10 minutes drive
Were you happy with them?
Yes, clean and tidy, adequate cooking facilities for a drive and survive with kettle, toaster, microwave and 4 ring hob
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Most definitely, we will definitely return
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Definitely, the process, information, directions and communication were first class, made life a whole lot easier
General Comments:
Despite the tough conditions, a most enjoyable social week. Thomas was on hand for any issues without being over intrusive, listening to his knowledge and advice was invaluable

Details of your catches:
Lake exclusive - Great week had by all fishing. Was tough during the day because of the weather, with a majority of the bites coming from nightfall till dawn, with the odd one out during the day with zigs. Altogether we had one at 18lb, seven 20s, three 30s and two at 40lb, the biggest going 48lb, which was a new pb for Frankie. A great week of fishing considering it was high 30s all week
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Listen to Tom, the lake owner, he will talk you through all the spots and the best rigs to use. We used nothing smaller than a size 4 hook, the cog systems worked well. The bait we used was house particle and pellet. The house fishmeal boilies worked really well and topped off with a yellow topper proved to be the best tactics. The use of the bait boat really helped out, as the lake is a lot bigger in real life, with the widest part going 23 wraps, so if you have a bait boat take it with you or you can hire one from the venue. When you have selected your spots have a walk around the lake and keep the bait going in. When you walk around the other side, take some polarised glasses because you will see the fish patrolling along the far margin, so keeping the feed going in is key we found. Tom will guide you through the depths to use when using zigs. We found that casting to showing fish during the day worked well with the zigs in open water. Keep it simple, keep visual and tight lines

General Comments:
Thomas the host with the most, couldn't do enough for you to make your trip memorable. He genuinely is a down to earth guy who loves his fishing and the knowledge of the lake is second to none, so pay attention to him. Nothing for him is too much trouble, I think if he could get in the water to hook the fish for you, he would. He kept in regular contact throughout the trip, helped the anglers who were struggling, and even went home and got a zig kit for me as I left mine at home from a previous session in England. He lent us his TV so we could stream the Europa Conference League final from my phone to the tv as one of the guests was a Palace fan and no one locally was showing it. That's how far Tom went for us, he even messaged me yesterday(22/06/26) to see how I was, and I told him I'm in Paris this weekend. The lodge was a blessing, providing shelter from the heat and with a four ring gas hob in the lodge, there is no need to take cookers just cooking utensils and cutlery. The lodge is so close to the swims your not far from your rods at all.
