Had a great time at Deux Iles.

Details of your catches:

Lake exclusive - 2 anglers with wives fishing (1 each island). We only fished 5.5 days or so in total, missing out all day Saturday on arrival. All day Wednesday (went shopping/sight seeing) and didn’t fish Friday night before leaving. Crazy hot weather with all week being in the low to upper 30s.
I was on the left island (2 I think), I Ended up on 38 fish to 49lb with 4 losses.
Mate was on other, had 19 and 9 losses I think in total.
So 57 fish from 70 bites in that weather was ok I thought.
I fished the deeper 6.5 ft of water pretty much all week picking a few up from shallower water nearer the island in 4.5-3.5ft. No trouble from the crays strangely.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Started on popups and quickly changed to wafters as they was the rods doing the bites Pink and match hatch was going well then orange took over. Just little 14mm orange RGBAITS barrel wafters fished over 1 scoop of maize/hemp mix gouged in RGBAITS (red) seasquid liquid with a few 12mm bookies in. I literally used less than 3kg of boilie all week with 10kg maize and 10kg hemp. That was it!! Brought 25kg boilie back home. Just wasn’t needed, definitely little bait was bringing the bites.

Both first time here. Very impressed…..love the place.
Bruno….what a guy. Just made sure we was happy and left us to it. Checked in via text and hopefully he enjoyed his own holiday while we enjoyed ours

Details of your catches:

Despite the hot weather with most of our fish coming during the early hours at night or first thing in the morning. Both my sons managed to smash their PBs, my youngest breaking 3x PBs in one trip.
We managed 9 cracking carp but unfortunately just as it was cooling off and the bites were coming more frequently we had to leave on Thursday afternoon for other commitments.

We managed fish from 14lb 8oz up to 33lb 3oz.

We caught most on plastic boilies to combat the crayfish over beds of chopped and crushed boilies with Bruno’s maze, tigers and house pellets
