Had over 40 fish between the 3 anglers, with 3 of the known fish over 40lb included. Weather extremely hot, but despite the temperatures we caught on all days.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Best tactics were to watch the lake, see where the fish were active and to loose feed boilie around match the hatch hookbait.

Were the facilities what you expected?

This was a return visit which says all you need to know about how much we like it!

Yes, the accommodation is exactly as described. Its a simple, small cabin but it has all that we needed.

Gary and Ang are superb hosts; helpful, friendly and pop round a couple of times every day to check on how we were getting on. Really enjoyed our week with all 3 of us getting PBs.

My son caught 12 carp plus 2 catfish. Biggest being 29lb.

55, yes 55 fish caught over the week, despite a little spawning action. 1x40, 4x30, the rest all 20's bar 2.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fished dawn to dusk, boilies over a bed of particles and pellet, bait boat and pva bags.. Simple, straight forward rigs nothing complicated needed.

Excellent, food package is a must, you are on holiday after all!

Excellent service from angling lines, Gary and Ange made us feel very welcome and looked after us superbly

Considering we was in the middle of spawning the fishing was hard but we managed 12 between us from 20lb upto 38lb and 1 cat at 31lb

It was a mix of bottom baits and snowman rigs

The facilities were perfect, just what we needed, we did 4 nights of bbqs and 3 nights of cooking all worked well

Yes we was more than happy, Gary and Ang are lovely people and very helpful. The lakes are well looked after and the fish too we will definitely be going back

This whole experience from booking to going has been so easy, the 2 times I have had question for Angling Lines they were answered within 24hrs. Its a bit of a trek from Calais and the toll road are pricey but all worth it, again its a lovely place
