Fished very tough this week with 16 fish landed between 7 anglers over the week with the majority of the bites coming from peg 3. Over 25 fish lost between us all too! The snags are still quite a problem but it is all part of the challenge, if only they allowed micro barbed hooks we all felt we would have seen a lot more fish on the bank. 4 PB’s were still broken though with the biggest being a colossal 66lb 8oz mirror. Overall great trip and we would definately return in the future.

Minimal bait use. Fish for a bite at a time.

Defiantly would not recommend this lake until the owners spent some time maintaining the lake itself!!!!!....undercutting heavily tree-lined margins but most importantly removing the extensive weed bed in front of swim 1!!!!
This bed made it impossible to fish swim 1 with any success.
After saving all year for this trip its disappointing to be met with NO help from the owners except for place the picnic table at the front of the swim and stand on the table for a higher advantage point to tackle the weed!!!!!!!!!
This is simply not acceptable 5 runs all week and all fish lost in the front mat of weed please do your homework before booking this lake!!!!

Previously yes but left very dissapointed with this experience.

General Comments:

Swim 1 was a mandatory boat swim. This was NOT defined in the description. We were faced with a bank of weed surrounding the entire swim and lost every hooked fish in this weed. Unhappy to use the boat at night and so the swim was un-fishable.
The venue is in need of maintenance to overall lake weed and snags in the margins.

18 carp to 43lbs lost 17 due to vast amount of snags spoke to owner suggested some maintenance required
