General Comments:

Tough weeks fishing, fish just wasn’t in our area unfortunately. Still a very enjoyable week with an excellent average stamp. Fantastic lake and Constant was very helpful.

Constant was really helpful with advice and tips, when we arrived I asked about the current fishing situation! It was first time for us on this lake. We fished peg 1. The lake was full on the week, the other anglers had one or two fish that week only! In the end we ended up with 14 bites, landed 10 fish from 25lb-44lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

This lake is not for everyone! The guys before us fished the same peg and they blanked! It’s a hard water, full of weed, lot of cray fish, so finding spots among the weed is necessary so you have to use a boat, and once you get a bite you have to go in with the boat to be able to land a fish because you just lose the fish if you try to pull it out from the weed. The weather was all over the place on that week!
Tried two tactics, on a couple of rods heavier bating 2-3kg pellet boilie approach and the rest of them just a golf ball of pva bag with micro pellets and fake corn.
We had no bites on the heavily baited rods at all only on pva bag approach! Refreshing rods 6- 12hours
The rest of the guys on the lake choose the heavy baiting approach and the only had 1 or 2 fish on that week.

Yes we were advised before the trip about shower facilities not by the lake (due to a temporary issue for this season only) just a nearby camping place which was not a problem for us!

As notified, no facilities available due to refurbishment in 2027. Had a freezer & sockets so all good.
