Details of your catches:

We fished in Peg 1 for half the week and moved into Peg 5 for the remainder. We landed half a dozen of the lakes stunning heavily-scaled mirrors to mid-20s and lost two. Being late March the lake was fishing hard owing to very changeable conditions.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We fished snowman rigs over mixture of house pellet, particle and boilie crumb. The lake is fed with house pellet (Coppens 8mm high oil)- makes sense to use it. A couple of bites came to solid bags cast to showing fish. Given the amount of water each peg commands, a bait boat with sonar is a must. Also, 10M+ of 0.60mm snag leader is a must on account of the swan mussels along the deep drop offs surrounding the lake. No problems with crayfish to report during our stay - no need to wrap baits.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilitates at Fully's are excellent. From large, gravelled swims to clean toilets, warm shower, charging points for electrical items/bait boat batteries and a large chest freezer for baits/cooler blocks, it's very well set up for a drive-and-survive session. Additionally, there is a Leclerc Express approximately 5 minutes drive from the lake in nearby Brienne-le-Chateau for resupplies.

Were you happy with them?

Absolutely. No complaints whatsoever!

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

I would not hesitate to recommend Fully's Lake and we will be back for sure. A beautiful 26-acre lake with well maintained facilities and lost of features to fish to (bars, gulleys etc.). The owner, Constant, is both attentive and generous with his time - upon arrival, he spent a good amount of time with us pointing out features, spots and tactics and checked in with us each day to ascertain if we needed anything and to bring fresh batteries for the boat/outboard we hired.

Unreservedly

General Comments:

We really enjoyed our week on Fully's Lake. A superb fishery with stock of around 600 fish to over 70lb and everything on hand for a great drive and survive fishing holiday. Constant, the owner, is a really great guy and can't do enough for his guests. The lake was fishing hard but early on in the season this was not unexpected. We look forward to returning and to getting into the big lumps.

Details of your catches:

Landed 5 fish to 36lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Mixed boilies. Supplied by lake owner lbl baits over particles. Iq d rig with Wafters and heli 360 chord on boom stiff rig Ronnie with pop up doubled.
Fishing at 120 m to centre of lake over a shelf, but not interrupting opposite fisherman who was fishing to one side. Or would need to be just shorter. No margin fishing as water down slightly and crayfish totally occupied margins, meaning less in open water.

Were the facilities what you expected?

No. Bit of a dispute as advertised solar with 240v charging on site. Fridge and freezer but not the case. So either way I did not not get what I was supposed to get when I booked. There is a shower which pumps lake water heated.

*Angling Lines note* This was an issue with the facilities that we were not made aware of at the time. We fully understand how important it is that everything we state is 100% accurate - both ourselves and the lake owner apologise. We have settled this with Brian directly :-) For our next anglers in 2023, the facilities will absolutely be there and working.

Were you happy with them?

Being honest I told Constant Lebel I will be honest on my feedback. No I wasn’t.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

The lake is superb and good fishing hard work but worth it for the quality of the stock. You need snag leader as sharp mussels and snags (lost 5 before I obtained snag leader ) and a boat to land the fish I’d recommend as less chance of losing a long waited bite. All rods left for 24 hrs as suggested, 3pm to 3pm.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes have done many times.

General Comments:

I prob would have not gone if I’d known about facilities as I like to set up big and be comfortable and make most of the week and would chose another lake, I’ve been to many and lots via angling lines. But the lake itself is brill and hence why attracts lots of French anglers. Would I return yes but be prepared for a true drive survive.

General Comments:

The lake is beautiful and quiet and very well laid out with the swims, there is loads of room and loads of water per angler. The fish we caught were all in amazing condition and fought really well. Once we located feeding spots the bites came quite quickly.
The owner is very caring about his lake and clearly has put a lot of work in already and has plans for further, it was nice to chat with him and he was very helpful.

Details of your catches:

30 fish in the week, between 15lb-53lb, with one pretty nice ghost and 2 koïs.
The fish are strong fighters, even with the hot weather. We had many nice scaley fish, with perfect mouths and they are in perfect
conditions to grow well.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We fished on spot, on a nice clear spot between the weed. Both of hard and soft bottom.
We decided to bait a lot on every spot. We used the baits they sell at the lake. Our baiting was a mix of pellets, particles and boilies we buy there directly. The fish responded well on large and heavy baiting. We used D-rig, made with fluorocarbon, hook size 4. Our rods were
hookbaits with wafters in 15mm or snowman 16mm + 12mm popups. Tigernuts worked well too

Were the facilities what you expected?

The sanitaries was perfect.
Really easy to use, the shower and toilets was clean and we had a proper shower with hot water.

Were you happy with them?

Everything was perfect about it.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Oh yes, and I think I will need to book earlier in the future because everybody who will go there, will want to come back and it will be more and more busy haha

General Comments:

Constant is a top bailiff, he welcomed us perfectly and gave really good tips.
The lake is really beautiful and that's so great to combine rest and fishing.
Every swim has a weighing bar, helped us a lot.
