Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We struggled with just the one fish between us. I had that on a nut bait wafter over a clay area toward the centre of the lake where we'd seen fish. They were showing a fair bit at night in various parts of the lake and we tried them all with all the normal tactics but couldn't entice any further bites. We didn't try zigs and perhaps they're worth a go. Crays were present and nibbled the baits a little but not too bad and my nut based baits seemed to be left alone.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, although the toilet near swim 1 was out of action.

Were you happy with them?

Yes. The facilities are basic but functional. Freezer and toilet worked fine. It may be a stretch to describe the shower as hot but it does the job and otherwise what you get is exactly as per the listing.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Definitely. Friendly owner, clean well maintained banks. Very picturesque, great atmosphere and with a superb stock.

General Comments:

Very happy with Angling Lines as always. Also very happy with Fullys Lake and looking forward to a return trip. We only had the one fish between two of us on a lake exclusive but - queue excuses - it was high pressure, clear cold conditions with a north easterly blowing all week and many lakes in France fished poorly.

It was our first visit to Fullys and evidently we've much to learn about this venue. However we had a great week still because it's a lovely lake. Beautiful scenery and views, amazing wildlife, the night skies were brilliant. We even had some bonus Euro fighter flyovers during the days. Not to mention the stock. The fish we heard crashing at night, giants, just makes you want to go back. With better weather and a little gained knowledge I'm sure this lake will produce some magic as it does for others but even on a slow week there is so much there to enjoy.

A mixture of tactics worked, but mainly fishing over heavily baited areas produced the best fish and results, different rigs used but spinner/blowback produced most of the bites

Caught 12 fish in total, all stunning fish and in perfect condition. Caught 3 of the 14 Koi from there

We we're on peg 1 and the fish were definitely in front of 2, 3, 4 and 5 so we were pleased with the catch

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Random dropping PVA bag with boilies rather than heavily baited area. Caught on plastic boilies and corn, and real boilies and tiger nuts so anything goes

Were the facilities what you expected?

Big shower room (whole cabin), clean, hot water, best we've had and fished many lakes in France.
Separate cabin to charge everything.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, very good. Peg 1 could do with a bit of repair as the front of the swim has eroded away a bit, but they were clean and big for 2 anglers

General Comments:

I was concerned at the lack of reviews but this lake is underrated and the owner Constant said that when people catch loads they very rarely leave a review, the slightest issue then they complain. Constant the owner speaks good english and couldn't do enough for you

Details of your catches:

Overall was slow, this was mainly due to the heat. Evening and through the night, where most of the fish were caught. About 10 fish in total, mirrors, commons and 1 tench.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tried most tactics. But overall plastic baits or tigers worked. Also loads of crayfish.
I caught 4 carp and 1 Tench all on Ronnie Rig, plastic corn and tigers. Tried Zigs through the day, due to the heat, nothing. Not as much weed as normal apparently. So lake a bit murky not gin clear as on the pictures.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, as per the website.

Were you happy with them?

Water ran out, but Constant came straight out to fill it up. Does have a freezer, but could do with a fridge. Also could do with a sink, maybe outside, to clean dishes etc.

Overall its a good venue, but we had very hot weather. So through the day its suntan weather. I think September would be a good month.
