General Comments:

Fishing was good with everyone having multiple bites and all having a new PB. For our first trip it couldn´t have been better. The food package made it a hassle free trip. All in all a great week away.

Aaron, Peg 1. 15 fish majority 30's, 2 x 40's and the big common at 62lb - new PB!
Will, Peg 2. 5 fish to 32lb
Liam, Peg 3. 19 fish again, majority 30's, 3 x 40's largest 44lb 12oz

18mm wafters or snowman fished to the far margin to the areas that Stephane put us onto.

Were you happy with them?

Yes. The shower and toilet area very nice. We had the food package and was very well looked after by John Jacque, great cook, the roast chicken comes highly recommended. He was always there with a smile on his face and a cracking pudding even at breakfast :)

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Absolutely. Well run Phillipe, Stephane and Jean Jacque all great guys. Surroundings are lovely easy drive from Calais and there are 50's and a 60 to go at.

Yes. Been using Angling Lines for years never had a problem.

General Comments:

Brilliant week for myself and Liam, hard to explain why Peg 2 is so tricky they just love those two ends of the pond. Peg 2 has a lot water to go at and looks great. Will who drew peg 2 finished round in the bay to the left of peg 1 during the days from Wednesday and returned to peg 2 to the evenings, knowing what we know now would look to do that sooner. But lets just say our friend hates a move :)

44 Carp - 4x40, 18x30, 17x20, 5x10 (+2 Bream). Largest carp were 49lb 12oz Common and 44lb 4oz Mirror

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

DNA Boilies, Snowman as bottom baits. Most fish from swim 3, biggest fish from swim 1, didn't fish swim 2.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities are very good. Well equipped kitchen, good shower and really hot.

Were you happy with them?

Absolutely

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Would definitely recommend La Fonte, it's a beautiful lake. The owner Philippe is an absolute gent, he has made significant changes to enlarge swim 1 following some negative feedback. There are plenty of fish and they are in amazing condition.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Second time we have used Angling Lines and they have, again, been brilliant. Highly recommended!

General Comments:

The fishing was very hard, but this was down to the conditions and I think separate pegs would have been a better idea. The fish we did catch were in great condition and worth the waiting. I would go back in the summer and the owner is a great guy and made it a pleasurable trip.
