The facilities were amazing shower area was good size! The chef was amazing, food package was a great addition as the food was amazing the whole week!

General Comments:

I’d recommend maybe trying to lose the rope in swim 3 to maybe allow fish to feel more confident feeding all over as swim 2 was not very prolific hence why we ended up at each end cause was where the fish were held. Also maybe put chicken wire on the decking all over to help the slipping on the decking for when it rains. And also someone in my party was pestered quite often by crayfish. But other than that the whole trip was amazing and would recommend anyone for a few bites at the right time of year to give it a go!

Pop up baits armoured wrapped on very silty bed, fake corn useful tactic against crayfish.

Tranquil place, All facilities are good everything you need. Chef John Jacs cooking was excellent.

General Comments:

Crayfish is a big problem, we were assured by the owner he is trying to get on top of them. The worry is 3 unbaited crayfish pots, not nearly enough to combat the level of crays in La Fonte. We told the owner Philippe he needs another 10 pots regularly emptied to get on top of the pests.

General Comments:

On arrival was welcomed by Stephan the bailiff very nice man, the owner Philippe was very nice and welcoming with lots of knowledge about the fishing, we also had the food package prepared by John jac the food was amazing, all prepared and ready for your meal time amazing food and dessert with a choice of continental and cooked breakfast every morning, well worth the money. We have been to France a few time to different venues, La Fonte by far the best food and fishing we have experienced, a very enjoyable place to fish.

The majority of fish were caught on nut based bottom baits from Mad Baits and CCMoore - nearly all were caught in blowback rigs.

Yes

Were you happy with them?

Overall, the facilities were good - the swims are in need of some maintenance and can be restrictive when casting, especially when two are fishing from one swim. This wouldn’t be a problem if you were using a bait boat and the issue was discussed with Phillipe.

Yes - good sized fish, amazing food package and service from Joanne.

Yes, quality service. All questions and requests dealt with quickly.

General Comments:

The fishing was hard but this could of been down to the changeable weather during the week, the temperature also dropped considerably. However, we all enjoyed the week and 3 pb’s were broken.
