News from Laroussi lake

Apr 2014

New Article , 12th Apr

Paddy Ramsden has kindly written an article on his week spent at Laroussi this April
'As Mehdi opened the gate to Laroussi, we got our first view of this magnificent lake. Having never been there before, myself, Pete Smith and Les Brink stood in awe at the beauty of the place.
After a quick walk round and seeing a few fish I would have been happy to fish any of the swims as there is plenty of options in each one of them. 1pm arrived and the draw was made with Pete choosing La Chene, Les in L'Anse and myself on La Pointe.  With literally acres of water to go at, the hardest decision to make was which area of water to focus on. Work on the La Plage swim, 3rd Feb

We recieved a note from Mehdi this weekend updating us on the lake improvements...

'At Laroussi swim calls "La Plage", the vegetation was closing the peg. Here are "before" and "after" photos. 2 full days of work. Now angler on that peg has much more room to explore along the overhanging trees...hummm carpy !'

Winter Tidy Up, 21st Jan

I've been working hard almost everyday around both Laroussi and Old Oaks, around half the lake is now clean and done, but the heavy constant rain we had now has stopped me.

I will restart as soon as the weather improves and take photos.

*13/02/14 Update*

Today, at Laroussi, despite the constant rain fall, we cut about 60 yards of branches and trees along the car track around the lake.

Hard work...especially with that weather.
