75lb 2oz record mirror!!!!, 1st Nov
75lb 2oz from Laroussi...
Throughout the summer the record carp for Laroussi hovered just below the 70lb mark. There are 4 different known 60’s, up to 69.02, so we waited with anticipation for the first 70lb’er. Well it’s happened in style with a magnificent 75lb 2oz mirror!
The lucky captor was Troy McLean from Brighton. It came from La Plage peg at 1.30am on Saturday 21st November. His 18mm DT baits boilie was fished over a bed of boilies and partiblend at around 75 yards. A blow back rig, Korda Curve N°4 hook, Mantis Gold hooklink and 3oz lead was the successful combination.
This was a return visit to Laroussi for Troy having already set his own PB at 45lb there earlier in the year.

New Lake record tench!, 1st Jun
Congratulations to Carl Goff for catching the new lake record tench.
On Wednesday morning, he caught a 10lb 4oz tench beating the previous record of 8lb 6oz. This is the same fish growing nicely (almost 2lb in a year).

Crazy Start at Laroussi and Old Oaks!, 1st Apr
Excellent start!!
The fishing is excellent since march. In total, much more forties, fifties and sixties came out than thirties. Already 2 new sixties has been caught in march and 2 or 3 new fifties. The mirror average is higher and higher every year.
Last week was amazing. In total, 21 forties plus had been landed with 4 fifties. Mr Fletcher father and son had fantastic result catching a new lake record catfish at 115lb, a new lake record common at 48lb 4oz and a new lake record total mirror average at 41lb 8oz for 21 mirror!
This week, the actual anglers are also catching well with several forties and a fifty. The cherry on the cake is the "The Pretty Common" out at 35lb. In Old Oaks, same fishing: 36 fish out for the first week including 16 thirties. 2 forties at 40lb and 41lb has also been caught. The big common has been out at 42lb.
