New lake record sturgeon! , 1st Apr
Congratulations to Andy Reeves for catching the new lake record sturgeon at 73lb 4oz!
The same fish was out last week at 72lb 8oz.

Fantastic Laroussi catch!, 1st Apr
Hi Bridget, Just returned from a great week on Laroussi.
Mehdi has the full catch report, but in summary we had the following: 1 x 63lb carp (caught by me I am very happy to say J), 5 x 50lb + carp, 5 x 40lb + carp, 5 x 30lb + carp, 2 x 20lb + carp. Numerous grass carp up to 37lb 12oz & several sturgeon up to 73lb.
I have attached some of the pictures of my fish.

Laroussi owner grows the European Record Pumpkin!, 1st Dec
Extract taken from Carp Talk on-line; So why on earth do we have a picture of the new (1,611lb) European Record pumpkin in this week’s Carp-Talk Xtra?
Well firstly it was grown by Mehdi Daho who is the owner of the popular Angling Lines venues Old Oaks & Laroussi and secondly he decided to put the outer flesh of the fruit to good use and what could possibly be better than turning it into a water going vessel capable of holding up to six people!
He then put the pumpkin/boat to better use, using it to land a couple of hard fighting carp from his own lake, the biggest of which was this 40lb specimen below.
The fish fell for a Quest Baits Fruity Trifle boilie.

75lb 2oz record mirror!!!!, 1st Nov
75lb 2oz from Laroussi...
Throughout the summer the record carp for Laroussi hovered just below the 70lb mark. There are 4 different known 60’s, up to 69.02, so we waited with anticipation for the first 70lb’er. Well it’s happened in style with a magnificent 75lb 2oz mirror!
The lucky captor was Troy McLean from Brighton. It came from La Plage peg at 1.30am on Saturday 21st November. His 18mm DT baits boilie was fished over a bed of boilies and partiblend at around 75 yards. A blow back rig, Korda Curve N°4 hook, Mantis Gold hooklink and 3oz lead was the successful combination.
This was a return visit to Laroussi for Troy having already set his own PB at 45lb there earlier in the year.
If you’d like to fish Laroussi over the winter there’s a special Winter Deal in place until the end of February.
