News from Laroussi lake

Mar 2021

Some 2021 news, 16th Mar

We hope you are all fine and away of that bad virus. We have used this time to do some improvement around the lake

- We trimmed many branches around the swims, and removed some underwater snags.

- On the two gaps of peg one, we dug two steps and doubled up the size of both gap, so the access to the water and to your rods is much easier now. The fishing angle is wider and you have got more room to cast or play a fish.

- We flattened the gravel track and removed a long concrete base along the point swim.

Now, regarding baits and brexit rules, we decided to resolve that problem by not just selling a commercial boilie, but by creating our own boilie.

Based on experience and carp diet studies, we elaborated a great recipe. Making a boilie to catch carp and not carp angler is different. We spent countless days to determine what exactly carp need to live, to grow, and to stay healthy.

There are, unfortunately, some unbalanced boilies that contain too much fat, too much sweet, too much spice etc. Our target is to provide the best quality as possible to our fish.

We selected top quality meals, and only natural ingredients . No chemicals at all (no preservatives, no synthetic flavours or sweeteners etc…) The whole recipe is 100% natural.

We calculate proteins, aminos, vitamins, minerals and oils ratios to copy exactly what a carp need. Our boilie is not cooked in water, but steamed to preserve a maximum of the nutrients, goodies and vitamins. There is no preservatives, they are rolled, steamed, air dry for a couple of days and vacuum-driven.

So the best way to conserve them is to freeze them. A shelf-life boilie that sit on the bottom of a lake for a long time will rot. That rot is bad for the fish but also for the lake water quality. A fresh frozen boilie without any preservative will just melt and disappear without any rot.

Our boilie is totally:

- Digestible, that means no stomach or liver problems, no energy waste. Carbohydrates help. Our boilie has got the right protein level to avoid ammonia excess release (that’s a bad toxin for water quality)

- Balanced , there is not too much fat, proteins, etc… No excess, or deficiencies. Each meal has been selected to bring the wanted vitamins, aminos, omega, minerals and nutrients

- Attractive. We all want to use a boilie that attract carp with some strong food signals, the meals selected smell good (salmon, squid, krill, etc…). The texture of the boilie has been designed to offer a maximum diffusion (hemp meal and soluble fish proteins are just perfect for that job)

We are proud to propose this boilie to any anglers coming to our lakes this season.

A New PB for owner Mehdi, 19th Sep

Laroussi owner Mehdi looking very pleased with himself and rightly so!

"I decided to have a go at Laroussi with 2 rods only. My first bite was incredible, I played the fish for 45mn, it killed my back lol. Finally in the net, I knew it was a big carp, at least 55lb... but on the scale it went 66lb! That's my new personal best!
