Me and my son had 2 x 35lb commons, 37lb 5oz and 39lb mirrors, 21lb and 18lb commons and a 27lb mirror.

Bait boat used for all catches. Far margin from the point swim. All caught on quest raja spice and DT cold water green beast boilies. Loose feed of lake pellets, sweetcorn and tinned chick peas. Pink or yellow hook baits

General Comments:

The owner Medhi was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. If you need extra advice make sure you track him down or phone him on his mobile. We approached him a few times over the week and he was very knowledgeable about best spots and tactics. This is not a runs water so we were always checking/feeding spots. Rest an area you have been fishing then go back to it. We had good rewards by doing this. It would’ve been nice to see some of the bigger residents. The heat and north easterly wind had an effect on catch rate. We would go back.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we found our original venue that we booking was cancelled at the last minute by the owner of Etang de villaine. I would like to thank you for helping me in finding a venue in such short notice. Mehdi the owner was very helpful in giving our group tip on how and where to fish but we found that the lake was vastly under stocked with the variety of carp we normally fish for.
