General Comments:

I’m going to be as honest as possible on my feedback. This is my 5th trip with angling lines and another booked for March and there service is second to none. This was a new venue which I chose on feedback and recommendation. When I arrived I was told that there was myself and 2 others fishing the week and at 1 pm draw for pegs. It came to 1pm and I was alone I walked around the lake with no advice and chose the peg plage, I then encountered 4 days of horrendous weather, rain and wind very unpleasant. On the tue late afternoon I rang angling lines as I’d seen no one and found it very demoralising the other 2 didn’t arrive so I was fishing alone in very hard conditions blind. I received a visit from the owner who apologised as had a lot going on and advised me to move to follow the wind to other side of lake the point. I started to pack up leaving just bivvy and rods for morning. At 2am I struck into my pb 55lb mirror, over the moon. I moved in the morning to La point with good weather but high pressure making it still hard. I managed 2 more fish. Before conditions changed and wind then started blowing to where I left. What can I do. I found it so hard but just kept trying. I’ve ended up staying and booked 3 nights in first swim as someone had been promised first chose on sat if agreed that the other 5 on from sat use boats. He has already landed 4 big carp and I’ve been in corner with no fish as looks like nothing is coming past his lines. So I’m happy with pb, but that’s about it. Had a very unexpected different 10 days than I ever imagined. Would I visit here again? Taking into account the owner is a great guy and lake has got huge carp I’d say yes as I wouldn’t be alone and it does help with others on lake moving the fish about.

Details of your catches:

Brill trip, 5 new pbs, we had 4 x 50lb 11 x 40lb 14 x 30lb and 5 cats to 30lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Medhis new bait worked well, snowman presentation with various toppers. To be honest i've been a few times and we caught the fish on a feeding week, they would have had anything.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes very good

Were you happy with them?

Yes more than happy

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes I always do

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes angling lines are very good, this time was a bit stressful with all the paperwork and forms because of covid but now we've done it once next time should be a lot easier, thanks again to Linda and the team for your help, much appreciated.

General Comments:

Medhi is the best owner, such a nice man, organised our tests forthcoming with information and helping you where he can, his eggs and tomatoes are very tasty. I've been all over France fishing park lakes, rivers and been with other companies and I keep coming back to Angling Lines, very well organised trips.

Details of your catches:

Hi, its been a few yrs since I was last here and yet the lake seemed unchanged. I caught 7 carp from point, in this order 26c, 20c, 36c (very dark), 20c, 56 and half (fully scaled), 56c (Ghost Common), 38c very light rounded shape.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I arrived late and sent a message for the other 2 anglers to choose their swims. So on arrival I was given Point. I had no baitboat and so baited up by spomb and cast my hookbaits out. I had no unhooking mat, weigh sling or landing net and Mehdi kindly lent me these items. I decided to fish one rod at 28wraps to far corner aiming at polytunnel. I put out 50kg of partiblend for week and used wafters, pop ups and bottom baits.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes very nice, I made use of the fridge for my food and drinks, the showers were great and refreshing, toilet was private and very clean.

Were you happy with them?

Very very happy, my swim was very comfortable and the bank sides all kept clear.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Oh yes indeed, I think its a great venue and had long talks with Mr & Mrs Mehdi Daho. I saw mehdi a lot and we discussed the fish sightings and of hearing them a lot.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Angling Lines were very organised, we had to undergo a covid test weds, a local pharmacy was pre booked for us and it was quick, very professional and only cost 25 EU. I booked my place at Laroussi on phone at last minute for a good price and helped me piece together my 4 week fishing trip. I was surprised to get X2 56 pound fish in 24 hrs, its just a result of a venue well looked after with a fantastic fish stock.

General Comments:

The weather was all types and I was very comfortable. Mehdi was available a lot to help me with my fish. The venue is stunning and point had me relaxing taking in the various views of the lake.

Details of your catches:

20 carp in total. The biggest being 48lb mirror, 48.5lb mirror, 53lb mirror and 55lb ghostie. No grass, tench, cats or other nuisance fish. Stefan (L’Anse) 3 fish to 48,5lb Yorick (La Point) 8 fish to 53lb Robbert (Les Saules) 9 fish to 55lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing the margins with a mix off CCU Milky Coconut & Nutty Scopex boilies with hemp, corn, buckwheat and small pellets. To avoid small fish, the best hookbaits to use were single boilies straight from the bag or pink pop-ups.

General Comments:

A difficult week in March with temperatures that varied enormously. Most of the week a strong wind from the north and freezing at night. The first few days it was mainly looking for the fish. The fish were clearly not very active yet and they certainly did not come to us this week. Once we had found the fish, they appeared to be hanging around in a number of places, somewhat grouped. Centrally on the water in front of “La point” and between the branches where the sun shined most of the day. Given the time of year, my experience is mainly to fish very attractive, so white and yellow pop-ups, small snowmans and little or no bait. With this approach we occasionally caught a fish, but we still had the feeling that there was more to be had. Most of the fish initially came from La Point. A few meters from the bank on the opposite side and left central on the water where the fish regularly showed. From this swim, fishing with Originals Krill Caramel and Strawberry Special Yorick also caught on average the bigger fish with multiple fish over 30lb including a 48lb and a 53lb, both of which meant a new PB for him. Stefan caught the same 48lb mirror from L'Anse earlier that week. This fish, unlike the rest, also shows clear signs of being caught frequently. The rest off the fish we’ve caught were absolute stunners. We saw mainly many small commons swimming along the margins in the snags. In those places we chose to introduce more bait than the time of year prescribes. By fishing here with attractive hookbaits, CCU Milky Coconut and CCU Nutty Scopex snowmans, we mainly caught the small commons. With the drone we also saw some larger carp swimming nearby, including the ghostie that, according to Mehdi, would weigh over 56lb. This fish could make up for Robbert's week, because until then he mainly caught the smaller fish (up to just over 33lb). The last 2 days of the week it was his mission to catch it! The snowmans had to make way for a single boilie straight from the bag and outside the baited area a single pink pop-up. The last morning it finally happened and Robbert caught the ghostie at 55lb. Given the circumstances, it was absolutely a successful week. You will certainly have to work for it at Laroussi, but rewards are there to be had. Actively looking for the fish and extremely precise fishing and feeding are a must here! Be prepared to move swims and fish where the fish are and be very precise to fish in the exact same spot every time. Mehdi is an excellent host. Stick to the rules and he's your best friend. A very friendly man and very helpful.
