Snigle bit of fake corn and a washed out pink popup were to the only things to work, everything else was tried with no success. All the bites came in the morning.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, loved the hut, everything was really nice & clean, and working. The fridge and freezer were a god send in the heat, as well as the outside tap!

General Comments:

Record breaking temps didnt make it a easy week, with the day we arrived being 40c. The week cooled off a bit but only down to 30c. With high pressures, the fish were just not feeding, no amount of bait could tempted them. A super hard week with the weather but this made the bank life amazing, with it being late 20s till 2200, and stunning sunrise/sunset every day. No one blanked, but would have loved a bit more action. Mehdi is a amazing host, who has so much knowledge of the lake, and how to grow some giant veg! Will be booking to come back to catch some of the amazing fish we know this venue holds!

Details of your catches:

I think there were approximately 17 fish caught on our trip. Unfortunately we blanked on our swim, due to very high temperatures and spawning activity. The fish that were caught were in tip top condition, there just weren’t any fish in front of us.

We tried everything, but caught nothing. This would not stop us returning to this beautiful venue

4 x 40lb + 10x 30lb+ 6x 20lb + 2 x small catfish 2x tench Mixture of common , mirror and grass carp. Biggest was a 44lb grass carp .

Small wafter boilies and artificial corn over a small bed of particle .

General Comments:

Its not an easy lake but if you use the correct tactics , you will do well and be rewarded . We broke three PBs and everybody caught . We had no problems, with what we had read previous on here . No sturgeon problems , no trailing lines , no small fish taking baits. Its a very well run lake and the owner is extremely passionate and helpful . Listen to his knowledge and you will have a great time .

All my tactics and bait gave me no Carp whatsoever.

Facilities were absolutely spot on.

Very happy, although i fished from L'anse the toilet was a good 1/4 mile away from swim. A closer portaloo would of been handy.

General Comments:

Unfortunately the Carp were spawning when i got there and so i was plagued by bloomin' Catfish. Didn't have one Carp. It was just bad timing for me. Felt really frustrated but still enjoyed myself.
