We had a few 40s, 30s and 20s. Point swim area been most productive. We also had catfish to 65lb and sturgeon to 60lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Several different methods working. Mainly wafters and pop ups over small amounts of bait. Lads had a few bites on singles casting to showing fish.

Details of your catches:

Around 30 fish throughout the week with carp up to 48lb. Two sturgeon out at 60 and 50ish (not weighed). One catfish at 65lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Majority of fish caught from the point, you could see that they where all in the bay with only a few caught on the main lake. Small baits and small beds. Lots of bait pushed them away.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Super facilities, toilet and shower with a huge freezer for bait and a fridge freezer for food.

Very happy

Yes definitely, hopefully go back in a couple of years. Medhi was great, very helpful and let you get on with fishing.

Hard weeks fishing in general. 2 fish landed 2 lost, biggest fish out this week was a 42lb9oz carp. Fish showing all over the lake tried all different tactics to no avail.

yes they are kept clean and up to date.

Yes most definitely, the lake and fish stock are amazing and in pristine condition. BUT Mehdi should take at least half of the Sturgeon out as they become a pain. It is an experience catching one but after that it can wear thin. The carp in the lake will not grow to the potential as the sturgeon eat such a large amount of bait. The same sturgeon can get caught 2-3 time in the same week. that speaks volumes for the amount they eat. **Angling Lines Note** Thanks for the feedback Ashley. Back in 2005 Laroussi had a total of 11 sturgeon, over the years Mehdi has removed 5 and left the 6 largest sturgeon in the lake. In response to the feedback Mehdi has agreed to remove a further 2 sturgeon this winter, leaving just 4 in the lake. We will then see how we go and review again at the end of next year.
