Details of your catches:

Mirrors of 61:04, 57:04, 50:12, 50:08 + x3 40’s. Best common 38+. First catfish of the year landed at 111:00 plus sturgeon to 51+. Many grass carp to 36+ (mostly low to mid 20’s).

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fished boilie over partiblend. Lots of fish showing but the weather conditions (cold N/NE winds and rain) meant the fish sought the deeper water at the back of the wind. Fish were seldom caught from the same spots. Grass carp were very active.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Excellent shower and bait freezer with plenty of charging points. Fresh water available and a sink for washing up.

Were you happy with them?

All you can ask for a week on the bank.

General Comments:

Quality venue which is not easy but with the head of big fish, you wouldn’t expect it to be. Mehdi is removing the grass carp now as the size they have reached (20+) means they are on anglers baits.

A hard weeks fishing, caught many grascarp and a few sturgeons, but eventually the rewards where there resulting in a new PB.
