Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Emily- Simple blowback rig with a 12inch hooklink, fishing pegs 2 & 3 to the island and open water. No baitboat, just catapulted baits. Krill boilies were very effective.
Martin fished peg 4 (cabin swim) bait boating to marginal features and open water at night, baited very heavily.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes - more than we expected, as an angler you couldn't ask for more. The lodge is absolutely perfect, lovely hot shower and quaint bedrooms. TV was fantastic. Big bait freezer, everything we needed.

Yes - we were really happy with the facilities.

General Comments:

"A fantastic first trip to France". Lillybelle was an excellent venue for my first fishing holiday to France. Martin has been to France several times before, so to catch more fish than him was a fantastic experience. Richard looked after every need and was great company. The lake has so much to offer, lots of different features to fish too and some absolutely stunning carp. Every fish that graced the bank was a pleasure. Thank you to Richard and Angling lines for a wonderfull and memorable trip.

Fishing great. Richard great. Accomodation great. lovely relaxing week catching plenty of fish. Both anglers got new personal bests. Bigger glass recycling bin may be needed for our next visit!
