Awesome week, Richard was brilliant and very helpfull

Details of your catches:

We had 35 fish up to 34lb 7oz all mirrors. Lost a good number due to hook pulls and probably too small a hook. Due to the weather fished most nights and stalked the shallow end of pool during day.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Used crab/fish flavoured boilies to start with but Rahja spice got over half the fish. Snowman, 15mm with plastic corn or krill pop-up. Fish came to the deep end (lodge side) in the evenings and the other end of the lake most of the day around the lilies. Fished tight to the lilies but lost some as they are quicker at getting in the lily patch and leaving you with just a stalk :-(

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, kitchen and shower room a great asset and the two bedrooms are all you need for a great nights sleep. Meals taken outside on the large table next to B.B.Q keeping an eye on the lake for the next fish :-)

Were you happy with them?

Great for anglers and non-anglers comfort and all you need with large fridge/freezer to keep beer and wine cool. Plenty of hot water on tap, lovely shower room and easy to keep clean.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes we would, love to go back again and have another go now we have the feel for the lake. Bailiff a great help with lots of info on the lake even dug a step out for me on bank in blistering heat. Many thanks Rick we will be back.

General Comments:

Listen to Rick, you will get a feel for the lake quicker with his knowledge and help. Nothing is too much trouble. Lovely venue did not want to leave, peace and quiet (except for the frogs) lol
