Ken Welch fishing for only the second time in his life caught 2 x 40s, a 30 , 13 x 20s 17 x doubles, a single and 2 x Zander amongst these were grass carp, a koi, and ghost carp. He caught these only fishing in the days. We both had a fantastic time, better than we could of imagined.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Double 20mm monster squid baits with regular baiting around the areas.
25lb Korda IQ hook links around 10" long.

The facilities were amazing, much better than we expected loads of room nice and clean.

Accompanied as a non angler, but the boys very happy with their catch 35-40 each, most over 20lb and new PB for Dad.

Beautiful setting and well run by a lovely couple.

4 Fish over 40lbs, 8fish 30-40lbs , 28 fish 20-30lbs, 24 fish 10-20lbs. Total weight caught was 1,557lbs and 5oz. Total fish caught was 65.

Main line cell, single hook bait bolt rig.

General Comments:

We found the hosts were very helpful and accommodating. The accommodation and facilities were as described. Would reccomend to anyone.

approximately 20 fish to 40.10.
A good mix of mirrors, commons and grass carp

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Bottom baits, Berkley Gulp Red Crustacean proved the most effective but managed to catch some fish off the top on fake dog biscuit and chopped pop-up whilst stalking which was great fun.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes. the complex and hosts are excellent. Very welcoming and always willing to assist. The holiday was made more enjoyable as another family were staying which meant the children seemingly played and played.

Were you happy with them?

Very. the facilities within Willow Cottage were ideal, the lake is pretty with plenty of fish to go at and the pool was great fun with the children.

A very enjoyable trip. It was fun for the children, relaxing for the adults and when fishing there were plenty of fish to be caught.
