Details of your catches:

Apart from the fish we did catch it was fun chasing the 2 big fish that got away. Despite climbing the big willow tree with the rod, negotiating around the aerator intakes only to lose the fish in the brambles after one hour. The other big fish took the bait during the early morning thunderstorm on Wednesday which meant waiting for the lighting to stop before picking up the rod. This fish went to the brambles on the left bank which meant I had to wade into the lake to reach the fish, only for it to throw the hook and leave the line wrapped around a underwater branch.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We found the dinghy to heavy to carry from the main lake which probably would have made all the difference but we will know next time. Still that's fishing.

Sorry that we missed you because we had to leave a day earlier than planned, but I wanted to thank you and Sharron for a wonderful time. Although we didn't catch as many fish as we wanted it was still great fun and I am hoping to return at the earliest opportunity.

Caught 28 carp from small grass carp to a 42 lb Mirror, a PB for me. Had 9 carp in 20,s.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All seem to work. Bait boat under the far big willow tree was most successful but spodding worked as well.

Exactly what I hoped for.

Good advice and a good venue , I will be using Angling lines again.

We never stopped grinning. We caught caught lots of carp to 36.03.

Fished small baits and got smaller carp but caught bigger and carp on the lake baits. Fished most days but did have a couple of days sightseeing.
