Mas Bas Main Lake Facilities

Lake House

A sheltered lakeside terrace leads into a large well equipped American kitchen/dining area with terracotta tiled floor. French windows lead out onto a large balcony with tables and chairs, flower tubs etc.

The sitting room area has a wood burning stove, stereo and L shaped leather sofa. There is also a Satellite TV (with basic English channels) and DVD player here. Large glazed doors lead out to the front of the house. Stairs from the sitting room lead up to the shower cubicle room with w.c. and vanity unit, a bathroom with w.c. and vanity unit, two double bedrooms (both with lake views) and a twin bedded room. Bed linen, including sheets & bathroom towels, is included.

The main house sleeps 6 but a further mattress can be added in the twin room for children under 10 if neccessary. There are also a further two bedrooms (available at an additional cost) on the lower ground floor. Including these two further bedrooms the property can sleep a maximum of 10/11 persons. There is also a travel cot available upon request, please let us know before your trip.

It is not possible to keep your rods out whilst sleeping in the accommodation at night. You would need to bivvy up if wishing to night fish so you can be closer to your rods. 

The property is connected to the mains water supply, making the water safe to drink. 

Please note: If you require the central heating on an additional charge, 150 € per week, is payable. Logs are available free of charge for the wood burning stove if you wish to use this.

You will find a laundry room on the lower ground floor which provides the cleaning facilities - washer, dryer etc. 

Lake House has its own private swimming pool (open all season, not heated) and also a badminton net and boules area all for the use of all guests behind the property. There is also wifi available and guests report no problems with this, however do bear in mind that Mas Bas is situated in a valley in the middle of the countryside. 

The Additional Bedrooms

There is the option to hire (at additional cost) the lower level rooms which were newly renovated in 2015. This consists of a further double bedroom with en suite, containing a large walk-in shower and a twin room. There's also a small seating area with glass double doors opening out on to the courtyard at the back of the house.

Fishing Equipment

We provide carp cradles free of charge that we prefer you to use for the safety of our fish. There is a small security deposit for each, which will be returned at the end of the week if everything is okay.

General

As well as the facilities on site, there is also horse riding and tennis 4km away.

The area is rich in historical interest with neighbouring villages dating back to the 12th century; the main towns of Agen and Villeneuve-sur-Lot (30 mins away) provide this exceptionally tranquil area with hustle and bustle, colourful markets, good shopping and excellent restaurants.

The closest villages, Beauville and Laroque, have garages, banks, chemists, bakers and very good but reasonably priced country restaurants. The distance from the venue to the local shops is 5.8km (approximately 10mins drive). There are larger shops 15 and 25 mins drive away.  

All this makes Mas Bas one of the best destinations for Carp fishing in France with accommodation.

Important note; Guests are asked to pay a security deposit on arrival which is fully refunded when the cottage is left clean & tidy with no breakages.
