MDP Lake Rules
Arrival: no earlier than 2pm please
Departure: by 10am
Fishing rules
- Maximum of three rods per angler
- Rigs must be capable of discarding the lead. No zig rigs, max height for a pop up 75mm
- Some kind of rubbing leader must be used and be more than 500mm long. Tubing is preferred, but other proprietary leaders are fine
- No naked chods
- No dropping the lead with chod rigs
- Maximum lead size 4oz
- No plastic or artificial hook baits. Crushed barbed hooks only
- Minimum of .38mm mainline. No braided mainline
- Break offs must be reported ASAP please
- The use of any self-hooking, spring-loaded, shop-bought, ready-tied twig or wand rig is strictly forbidden
- The use of nuts, pellets or particle are forbidden (unless purchased at the fishery, to ensure quality & preparation)
- Use of carp care products is compulsory
- Fish must only be taken out and returned to the water in the supplied retainer. Fish are not to be taken out of the swim
- No wet gear to be brought onto the fishery please. A landing net, retainer sling, tripod and air unhooking mat is provided on each swim free of charge and these must be used. If you are going on to, or coming from another water your wet gear must remain in your vehicle
- Fishing is from the designated swims only
- Use of the row boat is not permitted
- Always leave a receiver and tell your companion if you need to pop to the facilities. It is not permitted to use the shower etc whilst your rods are being 'looked after'
General Rules
- No fires or BBQ's
- All glass to be taken away from the fishery (this can be dropped in local recycling bins)
- The gates must always be shut behind you
- Dogs are allowed by prior arrangement only
- Please don't cut or damage any vegetation
- Do not go onto the monk or interfere with any infrastructure relating to the fishery
- The use of drugs will not be tolerated
- Alcohol is to be enjoyed in sensible moderation whilst fishing. If one too many occurs, the rods must be wound in. The entire angling party shares in this responsibility
- Any antisocial behaviour of any kind or breach of the aforementioned rules may result in the entire party being asked to leave the fishery without recourse or refund. The local Gendarmerie may also be informed
- If you or a member of your party experiences any issues during your holiday, please report them immediately to the venue owner/bailiff and to Angling Lines. This allows us the opportunity to resolve the matter while you are still at the lake, in line with our holiday Terms & Conditions.
