General Comments:

Well finally home after another great week in France at Lac Du Villefond, cheers John Richardson for the trip and making it possible for me to break my PB, bud waking me up at all hours to take pics and unhook massive sturgeon, i love it.

Also a big thank you to Mark Lambert, Debbie and John Lambert for allowing us to fish your venue and doing the food package it was the best we have had on the bank. Definitely worth a trip if you want big fish and now for a massive 14 day quarantine, stay safe people.

A total of 13 fish including 3 x 20's, 4 x 30's, 3 x 40's, and 1 x 50.

We listened to what Mark told us on the first morning and followed his advice re. hook size, bait size and type.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes. Perfectly adequate and as described.

Were you happy with them?

We were both satisfied with the facilities. A toilet and a warm shower !

Angling Lines were are great help in what has been an extremely difficult year for them. They were flexible in their approach to problems as they arose.

General Comments:

Mark, Debbie and John were most helpful and accommodating throughout. Fishing aside (Mark and John), Debbie's food package was greatly appreciated particular in the weather we had in the first four days when a hearty plateful was exactly what was needed ! It was delivered warm to our swim and really did save a great deal of messing about.

3 fish caught. New pb common at 54lb 13oz. A low 30lb mirror and a 23lb common.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Sweetcorn on a very short hair, 4inch rig connected at at least a 4oz in line lead.

General Comments:

Very difficult fishing, not helped with being the only angler on the lake. Loved the challenge though and will return. Listen to what Mark has to say, it will help.
