17 carp and 1 grass. 2 40s. Biggest 46. 5 30s rest 20s and lower. We caught at least 4 under 20 which is not great.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Zigs worked when it was very hot including the 46 and boilie approach caught the rest. A couple of guys tried a static approach and some tried different swims through the week, neither worked any better than the other.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, although fridge was not working on our arrival.

Difficult really, second time to this lake and both times the fishing has been patchy. There is clearly a good head of fish in here but to go to France and catch doubles is pretty poor.

General Comments:

It's a lovely lake and the owners are very welcoming and helpful. Just think there are probably more productive lakes to visit for a weeks holiday.

Small hooks and hook baits, put around 20kg of boilies between us over the week but a bit early to get them feeding properly.

General Comments:

Excellent venue, well run and looked after by John, Debbie and Mark. Food package is superb, not the easiest of venues but full of big fish in tip top condition. The owners are always available if needed but otherwise let you get on with your stay undisturbed.

You name it, I tried it, but a simple bottom bait on a simple rig with slack line eventually did the trick

Not quite as good as I expected

Were you happy with them?

Was disappointed that there was no mains electricity or lighting in the lodge, so no bait freezer. Everything was clean and tidy though.

One difficult visit is not much of a basis for recommending the venue or not, would I return - the jury is still out deciding!

Have done in the past and will continue to do so.
