Fantastic, My wife and I caught almost 2 tonnes of carp. 160 fish all between 24 and 34lbs. We weren't fishing continuously and day fishing only.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Boilies, nothing special, size 6 hook normal uk angling. Don't bait heavy, they are everywhere. The pegs to the right of the lodge need the trees cutting back a bit. We caught from directly in front of the lodge.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, but basic

yes. but probably ready now for an updat.e. The bed was broken.not a criticism really. just about time now to buy a new one. The owners were wonderful.

General Comments:

Firstly want to thank the Bouchot family for being so kind and accommodating, thanks for the champagne, pie & new oven. The lakeside lodge & lake are spotless, the whole surrounding area is stunning. Fishing couldn't be better, couldn't fish any longer each day as we were worn out. It was very rare to be able to get 3 rods into the water at any one time. This is the fourth time I have been to this venue and will be returning. I have fished in France 30 times and nowhere ticks this many boxes. What the fish lack in poundage they more than make up in stamina, they are more like game fish than carp & still don't give up on the bank. Many thanks once again. See you soon.

many carp too many to count. I only did a couple of hours a day or so. The biggest was 24.08. Lost a few bigger ones. It was a family holiday (8 in total) mainly kids.So we were doing days out, we had the gite for accommodation but use of the lakeside lodge but we only used that to store the tackle..

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Didn't use a lotof bait. I used 10kg dog food called frolic, bought in the supermarket locally and approx 5 kilo of boilies. Normal uk tactics. 8 & 6 for hook size
