A total of 58 carp and 6 small tench. John had 35 carp, 3 under 10lbs,18 doubles and 14 over 20lbs withthe largest 2 both 26lbs. Grandson James (16) had 23 carp but must have been in the carp nursery as all fish were either singles or doubles.

General Comments:

Love the place and the Bouchot family are so friendly and helpfull. They welcomed us back like long lost friends not just as clients.One piece of constructive criticism already mentioned to Alice is that the lake needs netting to remove the hundreds of small 1lb to 3lb fish which are starting to spoil the fishing.

Lost count in the end, but we were averaging 10-15 fish each (2 of us) a day. All fish were around the 20lb mark with a couple nearer 30. At times it was bonkers, I had a fish on the mat and got a run, while playing that the 3rd rod went off, landed all 3, all 20's. Fish days only.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

On the first day we fished from the dam wall and blanked!! Next day moved to the wooded bank up from the Lodge, fishing boilies and PVA bags. Also had 3 twenties off the top on bread.

General Comments:

A truly lovely place to spend a week. The Lodge and Gite are very comfortable and the owners are very friendly. Didn't fish all day every day and spent time in the pool or shopping etc.

We had 1,800lb of carp up to 28lb. Anyone who dismisses this venue over fish size does not know what they are missing. Superb sport!

6 X 30lb...109 X 20lb+ under 20lb. Couldn't be bothered to count.

West bank, heavy baiting, fishing to the middle of the lake particually during the day.Lodge swim, close to Dam wall about 1 1/2 rod lengths out.Tom 17yrs on his first French carping trip 29.1/4 mirror PB. None of us bothered with night fishing

General Comments:

This is a fantastic venue for non stop action, When you locate the carp, which is easy, then one rod is all you can handle.
The owners of the lake are very pleasant, have no idea about fishing as none of them fish. Eldest daughter, who speaks the better english, had a go and caught her first carp 16.1/2 lb.
