Details of your catches:

we landed over 45 carp for the week and lost over 15. Biggest was 37lb sturgeon. Carp ranged from 15lb to 36lb average size mid 20lbs.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Big beads of boilies Baitcraft T1 in deeper water away from hard areas or gravel, as crayfish would have your bait. Find the soft clay bottom areas as less crayfish. These were a problem as over night your bait would be gone.

Were the facilities what you expected?

yes, basic but adequate

Were you happy with them?

yes, small toilet and shower but did the job.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

yes, good size lake plenty of fish nice size grass banked pegs

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

yes very good as always 3rd holiday with angling lines

General Comments:

if you want to catch a few then this is the place. Nice clean fish and lots of features to find. Be warned about the crayfish they will have your bait.

General Comments:

Lovely mature lake. Felt very secure at night. Shops close by. Fire pits were a nice touch, wood is available to buy from Sebastien for a small price.

Details of your catches:

John caught - biggest carp was 35.03 lb mirror, 36lb 08oz and 36lb sturgeon, smallest was a 25lb mirror.

The lads had a total of 35 fish other feedback to follow.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Difficult start as the fish did not want to know the larger boilies, used small 8mm with whole and crushed Liver flavoured boilies and the fish started to come. Cast out with PVA bags.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes - great

Were you happy with them?

Yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes - will do.

General Comments:

Details of your catches:

2 Anglers - (4 nights - not a week)
5 Sturgeon (27-38lb); 4 carp (one double and 3 low 20s)

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We struggled and still cannot work out why!! First 48h were spent catching and losing sturgeon. Then stopped using fishmeal boilies and pellet and the carp started to show. The owner came round and advised we move down other end of lake which we did and then had 2 carp in the next 48h. Carp showing everywhere but just not interested in bait - other things on their mind?? Spawning?? The Sturgeon fight like torpedos and tailwalk. We should have just carried on fishing for them!

Were the facilities what you expected?

Clean toilet and Shower - plug sockets for charging things.
(V.Good supermarket down the road). Mobile phone signal good. Can park behind swims. Fire pit in each swim (Light a fire each night to keep the bugs away - not that there were many).
Owner very relaxed and friendly.

Were you happy with them?

Yes.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes.
Avoid Pellet and Fishmeal based boilies if you dont want to catch Sturgeon.
Loads of features. Fish in the shallower water around the bars. (not the deep water for the sturgeon)

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes

General Comments:

Beautiful place, mature lake. Great fish stocks. Only 2 anglers on when we arrived, and one when we left. Not busy which is what we wanted, and worth the 4h drive from Calais to get away from the crowds. Thought we would have a few more judging by other reports, but thats fishing! Will hopefully go back next year!
