Details of your catches:

67 fish which included 2 Sturgeon. Mirrors, Commons, Grassies and Sturgeon to low 30's.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fished at the base of a small drop off from 7ft down to 10ft. Used 20kg Cell + large amount of particles. Fished 2 rods only as the "spot" was small.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes

Were you happy with them?

No probs clean on arrival and cleaned during the week

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes if you are looking for a runs water.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes

General Comments:

Fished peg 2 as I wanted to locate an area of depth change. The peg is quite dangerous as you are sitting at the top of a steep rocky bank. Consequently I fished days only as I fealt going down that bank at night was a recipe for disaster. Had a visit from a large stray dog in the middle of Wednesday night. It walked into my bivvy and woke me growling, pretty scary for a minute or too.

Dave Berry 27 Carp to 30+ lost a few at the net lost a 30lb+ sturgeon at the net
Ian Taylor 15 fish to 30+

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Big Beds of hemp and maize And fish over the top with DNA SLK and NuttaS Baits along with Cell.
Fished the deeper water at the top of a shelf 10ft due to warm weather but temps dropping off on a night. Most fish came out during the night due to how warm it was during the day 35 degrees plus!!!

Were the facilities what you expected?

Beautiful Lake Very clean shower and toilet area (Toilet Small) but was nice to sit on the pot with the door open looking at the woodlands!

Were you happy with them?

Would have been ideal if there was a fridge freezer present for food and bait. Good job we took our own.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Were you happy with them?

All in all the venue was spotless the swims were well maintained. We had the lake to ourselves so was great,to keep this lake tidy please use the bins provided and it will stay clean and tidy

Details of your catches:

Ignore the date above we only booked for 3 days and only actually fished for 2 as we left early as we needed sleep!!!! Seven 30's to 38.04. Twelve 20's to 28.03lb. One double at 18lb. Lost 3 sturgens!!!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fished using a bait boat or rowing boat to deliver the majority of Baits or fished with a PGA pag of crush boilies. Fished over pellet which we got at the venue but was expensive at €50 for 20kg and you have to have 20 you can not get 10 etc.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes. Been to France fishing 11 times now and just what you need. Very clean shower and toilet block with battery charging facilities. Good to see the use of a boat which helped with snagged fish as you seem to get snagged everywhere even under your feet!

Were you happy with them?

Yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes defiantly. This is the fourth time we have used angling lines, one bad trip (now not on their books) and 3 great trips. Maybe could do with a loyalty bonus (wink wink) lol

General Comments:

A very good venue get left to your own devices, a fire pit on each swim to keep the mosses away, water is a clear as you can get, if you go out in the boat you can see the fish moving about in shoals, there are a lot of snags and also some man made gravel bars ( I'm guessing these are to keep you within your swim) but they are very high so only a foot of water above em but we did have a few fish from them.
There is plenty of water for every swim, we was lucky and as we left another lake (rubbish lake but not from angling lines lake) we was already in France and as such had the whole venue but it would have changed our fishing if we had another 5 people at other end of lake as we simply wasn't fishing the water, I'm fact it may have helped to keep the fish moving. That said the fish were not shy and 20 fish for 2 anglers in 48 hours well we wasn't even casting back out at night as we was just too tired and as such booked an early ferry home. Some very beautiful commons and some sturgeon to keep you on your toes.
