2 anglers

Details of your catches:

40 carp - 5 x 30's, 3 sturgeon up to 34lb.

1 angler - 13 carp to Friday am. 3 x 30s, 6 x 20s

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

follow the fish, feed boilies (bream come to pellets) pva bags worked well use PVA bags at base of bars

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes - just adequate

Were you happy with them?

Yes- just about, rained a lot so pegs got very muddy. No kitchen or freezer so embrace the drive and survive ethos.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

General Comments:

A good place to put a bend in your rod, very rural and quite scenic lake. We even saw a family of wild boar at the lake edge. I can see us going back again.

Yes, but need fridge/freezer for bait and food.

6 anglers

Details of your catches:

6 anglers fishing one dropped out , 121 carp in total , 17 x 30's to 34lb, 95 x 20's most over 25lb , 8 x 10lb+, 1 x 2lb common. 11 x sturgeon biggest at 33lb. A few bream not really a problem.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Everything worked , we tried every method and all worked. We did find that baiting with particles and pellet encouraged the sturgeon to feed first. Nash boilies over maize worked well.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes , toilet rather small , we had one lad 6'4" and 19 stone had to leave the door open (not very pretty).

Were you happy with them?

Yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes

General Comments:

Great runs water with fish feeding allover the lake regardless of wind direction and weather. If these fish grow on anglers baits this will be a top French venue. Two minor issues , we had six days of rain and some of the swims were ankle deep in mud.Whilst this is a drive and survive venue, the lake would definetely benefit from a communal meeting / drying area.Pics to follow.

1 anglers

Details of your catches:

10 x Sturgeon (Owner says there are only 4 in the lake
10 x Bream
1 x Tench
1 x Rat
60 x Carp, best 33lbs

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

They took anything and everything I threw at them

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, basic but adequate, I did suggest some more coat hooks in the shower unit, and maybe a chair/stool would be handy.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, don't expect the 'Ritz' on a fishing holiday

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, if they wanted to catch numbers of fish and the way they feed they are bound to grow

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

I've recommended you to all my friends, now round to recommending your services to strangers

General Comments:

Nice venue, helpfull Owner, lots of fish and some pretty Commons too, just need to be a little bigger and that will happen as they are hungry.
