9 Anglers fishing, around 90 carp caught and a load of grass carp

We had 8x 40lb+ mirrors and commons. Two going 47lb+. And a 55lb + common. Lots of 20 & 30lb fish too.

All seemed to work, just needed the fish to turn up

Yes definitely, 1st time we have used Angling lines. Won't be the last

General Comments:

The weather was extremely hot for the 1st few days and the fishing was quite slow. Most bites starting around 8pm. We then had a big storm and cooler conditions and the fishing picked up with day and night takes. We all like the lake and no doubt the fishing is great, but the grass carp are a nuisance. Catching a few is OK but we had loads!! We wouldn't return for that reason sadly.

All that said, we did have some lovely long commons & unique looking mirrors.

Wrapped 24 mm Cc moore live system because of the Crayfish tipped with plastic corn and double plastic corn caught well . Our catch rate improved from Wednesday when we introduced Sebastian’s particle mixed with crumbed boilie

We had quite a lot of hook pulls and the odd cut off on the gravel bars rand underwater snags out in the lake
