Really enjoyable week, fish are the hardest fighting fish I've caught ever, very clean, very pleasant

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Small beds of boilies, pellets and particle to lake features.
Boilies topped with pink or yellow toppers or Tiger nuts accounted for most the fish.
Peg 7 did 40 fish fishing at around 90 yards towards peg 1.
All pegs caught fish but be prepared to move if not on the fish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes very basic but as expected after looking at the images beforehand.
Constant clean hot water, albeit small showers and toilet!

Were you happy with them?

Yes, but they could be improved to attract a wider clientele.

Yes 100% - A great venue with great owners and very hard fighting fish.
Spend time finding the many underwater features! It's like an egg box!

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes Angling Lines communication and organization was brilliant. This was a rearranged trip from 2020 and well worth the wait.

General Comments:

A great lake with very hard fighting fish. Would be better if the sturgeon were removed. They became annoying after catching them multiple times!
Owners visit 2-3 times per week and will leave you alone or offer advice if needed.

Details of your catches:

Fishing was hard due to cold weather at the start of the week, frost knocked them on the head. However, one lad managed a 34lb mirror first night peg 3. Peg 8 did 3 bream, second day the lad in peg 5 had a 28lb mirror and I had a 104lb sturgeon for peg 8. Day 3 the lad in peg 2 had a nice 25lb common and I had a 25lb mirror after moving to peg 4. The lad in peg 5 then had a sturgeon of 55lb day 4, and I had a 20lb mirror peg 4. Day five more sturgeon same big one 104lb recaptured peg 5 this time, more bream. Day 6 I had a 40lb mirror and 2x38lb mirrors from peg 4. Peg 3 did the same big sturgeon and peg 11 did 83lb sturgeon and a 55lb sturgeon. Day 7 in the morning before leaving I had 3 more bites from snags in 4 resulting in a 42lb mirror.

Thinking outside the box in tricky conditions and baiting appropriately and quietly.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were absolutely spot on. Can’t fault them one bit. Road around the lake was great. Cabin was clean with plenty of charge points, bins easy to use, fridge freezers great, shower block and toilet spot on.

Yes spot on when p&o ruined everyone’s plans, friendly and professional sorting alternative arrangements for travel back.

General Comments:

Great week, supermarket close by is absolutely amazing (wish it was at home) lots of good times. Too many bream and sturgeon for us and week was hard with the weather but nice carp out regardless! Sebastian and team are great, friendly and approachable.

18 carp up 49 pounds, grass carp to 36 pounds, sturgeon to 98 pounds (caught 3 times throughout the week) once on peg 8, twice on peg 2
