Previously yes i have as this has been my favourite venue in france .. i wont be recomend in future unless major improvement is made

General Comments:

Been to this lake several times previously couldnt fault it ...but unfortunatly after this visit am very disapointed a majority of the trees have been cut down and left as stumps swims are horrendous. gravel has been put down on swims and you sink in them should of been bark main drive around lake is the same. Totally disappointed .. from my favourite lake in france has now become my least.

*Angling Lines note* We do fully appreciate that you visited the lake during one of the wettest and coldest marches we have known and therefore the conditions and indeed the fishing were difficult. However we entirely dispute the statement that the majority of the trees have been removed - this work was carried out as sensitively as possible so as not to change the feel of the lake, with only old trees (including one row by the track) that could present a safety concern removed. The lake remains to be tree lined. We have fully updated the photo section to show the venue as it looks currently. Gravelling the swims was a response to feedback from anglers last year and we hope that this makes the swims less slippy and more comfortable.

Details of your catches:

Olly: 39lb 8oz mirror, 32lb mirror, 30lb 8oz common, 26lb 8oz common, 18lb common, 26lb grass carp and 19lb 8oz grass carp. Terry: 48lb 8oz common, 42lb mirror and 3 bream.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Silty areas produced more fish than the gravel spots, margins also produced. Used Fluorcarbon d rigs snowman style. Bait: Five star baits fish mix and the nutz boilies, hemp, corn and pellet.

General Comments:

The lake fished very slow at the start of the week due to the weather being hot for October. Started to fish a little better towards the end of the week. Peg 11 is very difficult to return fish to the water as the bank is high and there is no step down to the water. Also peg 7 is very slippery when it's been raining, could do with some gravel being put down.

I wasn't happy with the size of the toilet and that the door did not lock. The wash basin was one continuous communal big sink with 3 taps, requiring your own bowl to have a shave or wash.

General Comments:

Overall happy with the venue however whilst appreciating in this type of environment there will always be rats present I do feel more could be done to control the numbers such as boxes with poison.

Fishing was difficult and not helped by some of the clowns that shared the lake with.
